Title: I Still Love You
Post by: The Gobi Desert Canoe Club on April 24, 2022, 11:06:16 AM
Here we are again, boy loves girl, girl moves to city, boy still loves girl. Oh dear. Hope you Enjoy.
The Gobi Desert Canoe club

I was down by the stream
Where we used to sit and dream
It really seems like a lifetime ago
The sun was beating down
On the hard and dusty ground
And I never thought that I would miss you so

But time moves on
And I may be wrong
But I still love you
Even though you are gone

You said you wanted more
There's a whole world to explore
And you couldn't wait
To see what you could find
That wasn't in my dream
I was happy with small town schemes
But I could see that you'd already made up your mind

But time moves on
And I may be wrong
But I still love you
Even though you are gone

Instrumental

But time moves on
And I may be wrong
But I still love you

A great catchy love song, the music is sweet. Love that guitar solo and some lovely vocals and harmonies. Nice ending too.

Timeless Lyrical sentiment, indeed.
Wonderful vocal performance reminds me of Willie and those harmonies are absolute perfection.

Nicely done Sir.

I love the vocal here, so upfront but it doesn't take away from the excellent Jangle of the backing. Interesting way to end with all the vocals too. Another winner!

I gotta chuckle out of your explanation...

downloaded before hearing... really loving the bass on this one.. it has those great feels and lines like the old, early days of the great Eagles songs...
kind of country, kind of rock.

the lead has that kind of lean as well... it could be California country here...and it's good.

Love it. There's a real pureness of feeling in this. A beautiful track. Yes, your vocal is further to the front here and all the better for it. Lovely tune. Downloaded for further listens. Thank you.

Pure class as always. But the vocal on this is especially amazing - such depth and clarity. Great song, great performance, and great production!
