Bunny Wailer who passed away in 2021 was an original member of Bob Marley and the Wailers but also had a solo career as a singer/songwriter. This is a track from his 1976 album Blackheart Man.
Pete
coolness factor 10... love the way you got the soul going in the reggae vocals...and the whole thing got swag to it.... backing vocals are cool too...
this is a touch like a reggae spiritual... cool... the longer this goes on the more great it is.
I like very much the voices you do the voices 2 and 3 with a machine or in re-recording?
I'm doing a song and I wanted to do a strum guitar in the reggae rhythm..I couldn't do it ...I understood when I heard your song it's on the low beat of all the beats ;)

Merci JP - I used one of the vocal effects in the Boss BR 800 - it adds a 3rd, 5th and High harmony to the original voice.

good thing figuring that out...it sounds good... I know the BR1600 has similar that I have used sparingly... but i am not recording with that these days.. but I am keeping it because sometimes I get nostalgic plus it has great guitar patches
thank you Peter for your naswer
I have a device Vocalist 5 that gives similar effects (voices 3rd and 5th )..but I never used it in recording..I'll have to try...
our youngest son is 17 and on the way to school we were listening to this... he was digging it... and he doesn't like much of what I listen to so that is the reach here...
I really love these vocals...

That's nice to hear Stephen, maybe I should specialise in Reggae ! :r2
Even Mrs C liked this one - she normally hates my singing.
This has got the solid reggae groove - the bass is locked-in and pops in the mix, just like it should. Great reggae vocal styling too.

And maybe another JamaicaFest? It's been a while now...
Loved everything about this Pete. Cool guitar and the whole cool reggae vibe hits the spot. Reminds me of being back at art college and in the student union bar where they often seemed to have reggae bands. Vocals are brilliant.
Ya man! :)
Mike
Yes sir you have a new specials genre Let me put down my smoke LOL love the groove and yes your vocal is spot on. The only song I have ever tried is a Marley tune Women don't cry not even sure if I posted it here. Anyway great cover
Tim
I came here after you described how you did the drums. I like the results!
I had some advice from Stephen M about Bandlab - I had the app on my tablet but he explained that I needed to download Bandlab Assistant to get it (and Cakewalk) onto my PC. Just followed a bit more of his advice from his post !972 Medley and I've re-mastered the song on Bandlab as an experiment to see if there's any difference.
I could use some cuss words to express how good this is Pete.... but I loved it before too... I do think it's better though, at least a little...Your vocals are a little cleaner to me and the cymbals etc are a bit enhanced...
I am digging this now because i am listening on my JBL ref monitors and they sound about the best of anything I have...
you did a fantastic job on this and I will hear this as long as I have breath and something to listen on....
