Another space song ;D .
The story is about a spaceman that misses his home while protecting the universe.
I might had another verse/chorus later on but that's it for now
Let me know what you think
Have a great day ..
Oh this is fabulous.
Looking at the post and the lyrics, at first, I was expecting to go "yes add another verse"...
Now, I can say "no, I wouldn't ;D"
For me, as a listener, it's perfect.
It's a complete statement both musically and lyrically, and I feel truly satisfied.
I love the melody and the plaintive way you sing it.
Nice one.
wicked good stuff...
love the way this builds to that trademark of your sounds...the climatic guitar!
lyrically reminds me of all the folks north of the border who head to Florida to be closer to the sun..
the next song on the list is Andy's and he is singing about the sun too!

;D ;D ;D .... I was thinking, er, wha? .... I haven't got a song about the sun, have I?
Ah... oh, I see.
Listen to that one imagining a 15 year-old Russian girl singing it.
It doesn't have to be about that, songs get finished in the listener's head - but that's what was in my heart when writing it, the opening lines were more a lack of sun when normal people were getting it.
godinqc, listening to Spaceman again - it gets even better for me with repeated listens (and Mrs R likes it too!)
Very cool - an epic musical and visual adventure! Love it - very complete as-is! 8)

Andy, it's kind of why I like listening down through the lists...sometimes there is a cool "synchronicity" that seems to occur where songs fit together... like something blowing in the winds that catches peoples thoughts... or perhaps I read into things a bit much... :o 8)
I wouldn't change a thing in this wonderful song. It's perfect the way it is. Bravo!
Farrell
The vocal sounds sort of like a space robot guy, which is oddly PERFECT for the lyric and the song.
The guitar builds and pays off nicely.
I think it's great as is and doesn't need a second verse, but if you WERE going to expand it may I suggest the second verse come in with a different voice and a different character, which this space guy meets while out in space... Maybe an alien?
Seriously good! I don't know what i was expecting. I guess something like Bowie, or Babylon Zoo's Spaceman. This was neither, but i can hear a hint of auto-tune, or is it space voice?
The synth strings work perfectly as do the gentle piano playing. When the guitar comes in it kicks the song into another gear. Some of the chord movements are borderline operatic. Cool stuff!
Yours truly,
The Space Cadet
Thanks for the feedback ..
For the vocals I'm using EMvoice this is why is sounds a bit synthetic .
I'm a really bad singer so for now I'm using EMvoice until maybe someday I can sing properly :)
Thanks and have a great day
This truly is wonderful GQC. I too think that the lyrics in here are perfect and don't need to be any longer. It tells the complete story within such a short amount of time. Excellent structure here too going from a sparse, spacey ballad to full on space rock in the middle section. Loved it!

Ah! That explains it (just came here from Noir) ... listening to this again before I got to this comment, I recognise the voice now!
What a fabulous piece of technology.
And I still love this song :D
The synthesised voice really works well on this like a deliberate choice. There's something about your delivery and songwriting that reminds me of the great Canadian band Klaatu (Calling occupants...). And maybe the subject matter too. Nice interplay between the ambient deep-space keys and the guitar section. If I were to add more I'd crank up those guitars again for a massive finale. That's just me though. It's lovely as it is! Very fine work.
Brilliant stuff. I really love the almost vocoder-like quality to the plaintive vocals.
A beautifully constructed song and excellent production. Lovely spacey vibe and the synthetic voice works perfectly IMO.
This is really good. I just hopped on the Emvoice bandwagon myself. It has the potential to be a great program, especially for the price. It still does does sound a bit artificial, but better than most of these types of plugins on the market that are more expensive. I'm glad that they say that once we've bought into it all the upgrades and improvements will be free for us. But your track is very nice and the emvoice fits nicely into the atmosphere of the song. :)
You might want to check out my first project I just posted. It is not better than yours. It's my first attempt.

So good piano/vocal part, really atmospheric vibe, heavy sounds works nicely in the middle, too.
Enjoyable listening!
