Title: STRESS RELIEF
Post by: Rob Grant on February 06, 2022, 05:43:53 AM
This is my first song in 10 years. My story is posted in my song HOPE. I do play all in these songs...Bass, guitars, drum programing, keyboards, and some midi. I hope you enjoy :)

This sounds great Rob...
it's sort of like David Gilmour's first solo album but it's not exactly.  Love that really low synth sounding bass... lots of great guitar work in here.  Lovely keys.  The instruments "sing" which is great!  Drum work is nice.  Even very nice at times... got over fast!

It's a great piece and even more so considering your 10 year break. Lovely melody and there is a touch of Gilmour solo work in the sound/feel. I do like the synth work too, it adds a real melancholy underneath. Lovely job.

A wonderful laid-back song Rob! The guitar melody does have a slight Gilmour style to it. I like that tremolo sound in there...must be a synth?

Hey Farrell... That tremolo effect is actually on my original rhythm guitar. I was fooling around with audio effects and this came up and smacked me in the face???? I kept it????

I was going to ask on Hope whether I could hear a jazzy "neck pickup" Dave Gilmoury sort of guitar in the left channel half way through.

This track answers it!

Love the vibes on this. And, as I'm a guitarist - loving it more than Hope!

I can hear some sort of fizzyness - is that intentional?
It might be connected to the tremelo guitar part?

Nicely done brother, great listen. Had some Harrisonesque moments to it.
Rock on!

Welcome abroad Rob! I love the pastoral 70s vibe of this instrumental, I definitely hear some Gilmour but also some softer Jimmy Page style lead here as well. The mellotron sounding keys are a real nice touch, really fills the track out. I hope to hear more from you!
