Thanks to Everett (EWC here) for his suggestions. Booze for the evening was Monkey Shoulder... Yes, Monkey Shoulder.
Not sure what manner of pop rock this is. I believe it's part II of John's stalker trilogy whether he knows it or not (part I here: https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=30474 (https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=30474)).

Shit Ain't Worth Your Time
Couldn't remember when
I've seen you with a friend
Were you happy by yourself
It's kind of hard to tell
I don't want to intrude
It's just I've noticed you
I wonder if you'd like a talk
with someone as you walk
Should I say hello
Should I let you know
that you're not alone
Do you notice them
when they turn their heads
Stare as you walk by
Dare not meet your eye
Do you heed their comments
or regard them nonsense
Like some donkey's braying
Why care what they're saying
People can be mean
Makes 'em feel elite
Don't you let them get to you
Don't give them what they seek
Just you walk on by
Leave them all behind
There's nothing they can offer you
Their shit ain't worth your time
Should I say hello
Should I let you know
that you're not alone
So you are unique
Different as could be
Probably their fear
Makes them stare and jeer
I know you're okay
Whatever they say
If you want some company
Know that you can walk with me
love that super scuzzy distorted chord hold.... bass is killer...love the start stops...change of pace...i listen to alot of BTO...this has some of those elements too...overall a rockin fun...whotastic track...lyrics and vocally as well
Great energy, cool playing and lots of neat rhythmic tricks. The mix is clear and the vocals sell the song. The guitar licks are tasty and the solo is an example of restrained chaos. 100% proof song!
really digging the lyrics..."people can be mean, makes them feel elite." and the rhyme with the donkey reference...
shout out to the drums as well...this is major stuff right here fellas
Also really like these lyrics. There's a deep vibe to this, enjoyed the track guys.

I thought the Monkey Shoulder was pretty tasty.
Cool rock stuff, with a excellent vocal, loving that guitar too.
We drink the monkey when it get,s messy.
This sounds really great. Are you using an amp on your guitar Blooby? Love that tone. What guitar are you using here?
Another fine collab
Yeah, cool song with that great driving guitar. I'm more of a single malt man myself but I'm always willing to try the way of the monkey. Great post.
Dude, I had an epic comment but it got erased by a login timeout. Sorry, I'll just come down there and take a nap on your couch, tell you all about it.

I am giving my wallet (if not my liver) a holiday reprieve.

This was a Yamaha AES 620 guitar in front of the "Austin Rotary" setting on my Eleven Rack (all effects turned off). I used a Barber BUSS overdrive pedal in front this time. I used the same chain for the solo but turned up the gain on the pedal.
Thank you for listening.

Wow. Absolutely awesome guitar work. Love the sounds and the riffing and it sounds great in the mix, really punchy. Mind you, this is one helluva song, John's lyrics and vocals are incredibly powerful. Superb you guys, bravo.
