Ok ... so we had another weekend.
This is another old one of mine as we are waiting for the new asongsto materialize.
Recorded live in Bernt's livingroom.
Like a fool
w/m: Geir
recorded "live" in the livingroom by Optimission
Bernt: Bass
Jarle: drums and bg vocals
Geir: Vocals and guitar
2 * BR800 recorders in 4-input mode
I gotta say I absolutely love the intro...it has a 100% live feel similar to one of my favorite live recordings called Live Rust by Neil Young...that entire recordings are so friggin awesome...
I love your lead guitar breakdown in here...it's a really great mix and vocally strong as well....
awe sum...and the background vox sound great too
and extra points for the length!!! :) 8)
Love that long, languid intro. I got the Neil Young vibe too. Then those chords on the chorus - wow! Proper ear candy. There's some superb musical chemistry between you all. Outstanding and inventive guitar work, and amazing drumming from Jarle (plus kudos for drumming & singing!).

A proper live recording length. My iPad pooped at 7:20. Lol

I really dug this. Just an all around terrific effort. I wish my voice had the same grit to it.
Did you have to lower the fidelity of the mp3 to upload it? Curious because I'm working on a large track currently
Wow, 8 and a half minutes! And not a single bum note to be heard, once again you guys are TIGHT. I definitely hear some Neil Young in this, but it's totally got its own thing. I love the Roger Waters hypnotic bass and those jazzy fills on the drums sound so great. This track has an ominous vibe to it, especially with those haunting backing vocals. It didn't even feel that long :D Fabulous jam
Thanx Guys ! Much appreciated!
I must say we do have a lot of fun in this band, and it feels like we never stopped playing together 25 years ago.

Indeed I had to. It's compressed to 112kbps. To my surprise it did not sound much worse than 128kbps.
I amazed how this sounds at that low bit rate. When I squash something that low, it gets this horrific washy effect. Great recording and performance. Makes me miss my band days, but any thought of trying again makes me wonder where I'd stash the bodies.
Kudos for all the space in here. I find that most bands rush to fill every open spot with everything they've they've got and then some. Killer guitar. Looking forward to more.

Totally right up my alley...love, love this.....son-of-a-gun how I love this...spooky, its got spook...those backing vocals are incredible
Throughly enjoyed an excellent recording too
Mind Blowing intro indeed.
Outstanding arrangement and the mix (shaking my head).. absolutely stunning.
Everything seems so perfectly and purposely placed.
Holy S**T that solo is wicked.
The vocal and drum performances are to die for.
Hats off to U chaps
I love the bass drum work on this.
There is so much going on in this song but my ears tuned right into that bass drum work, excellent.
Lead guitar is awesome.
Well done to all.
Wow, great track and great performance. Must've been fun to be in that living room! You guys are pretty darn tight, bravo.
I love to hear LITLR performances and this has all the coolness of that! You guys have a good band here. Great vox, guitar, bass and drums Geir and crew! Hearing this takes me back to those crazy concert days in S.F. at the Fillmore West with the fuzz toned, improvised guitar soloing...well done Optimission!
Wow really good .. it's really feels like being at a Live show .. ( and reminded me how I miss going to Live shows )
All instruments are played really well, the lead guitar was awesome and so was the vocals..
Great work ..
One of my favorite Geir songs...I had a go at it a few years ago(toot toot). This is outstanding brother, you guys sound so intuned as a band that the looseness of the track feels quite tight. Totally love this and the band.
Rock on!!!
Straight to the office play list I listen to Rob's version all the time and I am loving this one well done love the solo and the vocal. But I will say everybody is so so tight on this
Bravo
