Like "Painted grey" (https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=31680.0) this was recorded live in the livingroom at Bernt's cabin in the mountains.
It is from the same session, where we played through 5 songs with no stops and no retakes. That explains the garbled vocals at the start of this one.
This recording literary starts when the last one stopped. No break in between.
So the setup is exactly the same. Boss BR800. Drums, bass, guitar and vocals to one mono track each.
We really need a bigger recorder so we can get the drums in stereo and have a couple of tracks for backing vocals.
I also need to outsource the recording so I can get someone to watch the levels (especially the vocals and bass are in the red a lot).
This is also an oldie I made in 2011:

Love the bluesy feel of this Geir. Really good musicianship all around. Live recording is always a true test of our abilities. I'm really digging this. I like both versions. Those darn monkeys again
Brilliant, Geir, just love it,
Really well done my friend.... Alex
Very much has a feel like Zep in the rhythm structure...that lead going around 2 minutes has a Robin Trower greatness about it....and I really like just the one guitar with the bass....gives alot of room for the big sound to rise...
Also the bass is solid...and the drums sound good....like a live band....the vocals are great...no apologies are necessary for this recording in any way!
I meant to add the lead at the end reminds me of the great Pat Travers...killer work
No apologies needed for a live recording I always love them warts and all but I am digging this one great job to all
Tim
Wow! What a rocker with great performance. Very Zeppish on places and killer guitar work. This works perfectly!
Bra brothers, if you need someone to watch the levels next time, I'd be more than happy to help out.
Beauty Geir...I love this...it really tickles my soul....deep dark and deadly solo....this song is kinda spooky....really good....so original and yet so familiar.....spooky monkeys....you guys are tight....who is that fantastic bass player...he almost steals the show....but of course your guitar solos are so tasty...and spooky...this is a very good song
Awesome track Geir, I'm amazed that this was performed live. Those vocals are soooo good and your bass player and drummer keep such a tight groove. Really enjoyed the song itself too, as BB put it kind of a spooky vibe, very original while maintaing a real bluesy atmosphere. Great stuff
Thanks for the kind feedback my friends!!

That would be Bernt (https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=8046). He gives a VERY short introduction here (https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=31245.0).
He is an old friend and bandmate from Liff (https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=4896).
Wow... yeah, raw, dirty, live... sooooo good. Funny thing is I am enjoying those levels hit the roof in places and those little inconstistencies are upping my enjoyment. It just feels so real/human. It's bloody great.

Dude, this rocks out like a bag of monkeys. What a great band, when is the vinyl coming out?
Rock on!
superb geir sounds great and the idea of recording in the mountains sound brill , you voice on this song reminds me of tom petty, sounds superb ......cheers tony cee
What a vibe you guys create, its the real deal.
Rocking goid stuff.
Love the drums on this as well as everything else.
Well done guys.
I dig live recordings....it brings the true musicianship forward and with no place to hide with studio trickery. Great balance overall. The vocals came through the mix well. Some excellent lead guitar Geir! It's an amazing recording considering you had just a few tracks to work with. Nicely done guys!
This is an excellent, live recording. I really love the vibe of this, blues rock style. Such a great performance from you all, you're really good. It's like a led zep lost song!
Darren.
Really makes me miss my band (up until we would get together in the same room anyhow). Really enjoyed this one. Great playing with plenty of vibe.

Awesome! What a sound, really, really rocky. Superb playing all round, I really love the dynamics which means you keep this really interesting and compelling for just a three piece. I love the quite sections where it gets stripped right back to just bass, drums and vox and then comes back in with massive guitar. The vocal on this one is particularly good, I hope you guys are going to be playing out live because you sound fantastic.
I like the mystic groove of this. Like Donovan's 'Season of the Witch' but with added punch and Hendrix jamming along with it, lol. If that solo was recorded after multiple takes it would be jaw-dropping, but live? Get the fuck out of here! This sounds like an ultra-talented and very well-rehearsed band. The way you all flow with the changing dynamics is incredible. Monkeys, YEAH! Absolutely outstanding. Let me say that again: absolutely outstanding!
Excellent Live recording .. top notch stuff ..really liked the guitar work , drums , bass and vocals .. everything was really well mixed .. The lead guitar was amazing .. it reminded me a bit of Ted Nugent's Stranglehold with the bass in the background.
Excellent work ..
