Kari sent me this tune today, and it reminded me of the US band "Cracker". So I tried to write a lyric and sing it mimicking said band. Excuse my sore throat but Flashy Harry dragged me up Ben Nevis at the weekend and I caught a cold.

Not caught up with Cracker yet, but I remember Camper Van Beethoven. This one's a real cracker, in any case - sort of a Velvets meets Stooges sound to my ear. That does it - will have check out Cracker!
Well done, gents.
Love the raw power sound. Nice job
Well if this song does not get your head bobbing you might be dead love the energy on the song well done guys
Tim
I don't care either...this damn thing rocks the holy hell off the walls....
what a friggin rock and roll song....way to go gents ....killer ..that 3 minutes went by mighty quick
yup my head is bobbing and I am chair dancing...or is it Kari dancing?
oh yeah that lead is a real Cracker
Love it, great collab guys, so well written and performed... Take a bow, Kari, James... Alex
Never heard of Cracker but now we're cooking! There's a pop punk feel to this track and i think it has to do with the vocal sound and open sounding guitars. You've got a cool groove going on and the vocals are spirited. Now i gotta check out the Cracker too :)
I too am unaware of Cracker but I am aware I love this!" The lyrics are great and I love Jim's vocal styling on this one. It's a belter of a track, got that garagey/punky style I love, it really chugs along and I love the guitar sounds, especially the break in the middle. Great collab guys, great to hear you working together.
Oh yeah I remember Cracker....and this song is a real cracker (lol couldn't resist the pun). This song rocks the house with a lot of pop, punk elements. Great guitar playing Kari and Jim's voice has a cool roughness to it (sorry about the cold) but it fits the style perfectly.

Thanks for the collab James, again! As you caught cold, that puts a good flavor to your voice! I'm not familiar with Cracker, either...
This was the first time since April, when I have recorded anything and it was really nice as I eventually could record something. I've been very busy for the last months. I hope it helps soon and I could be more active with SC, again...
Thanks for commenting, folks!
Kicks asssssss...
I don't remember Cracker but from the video, I can see where you're coming from with this track. Kari's punk guitar playing is superb and ORH's vocal fits perfectly. A "cracker" of a song !!
Pete
Nice song guys,I dont know cracker but the style reminds me of a band we had chart here, cant for the life remember what they were called.
It also reminds me of the jags.
Excellent stuff guys
Absolutely cooking! Great song sort of in the vein of 70's pop punk ala The Undertones (don't quote me on that, I'm no expert on punk! :D). Kari's backer has got a real energy to it and you put the perfect vocal and lyrics on top. That hook is totally infectious! Job well done guys :)
Brilliant stuff chaps, punky and raw and in your face. Those guitars are brilliant... face shredding stuff. And top vocal James.
Mike
Lead singer of Cracker moved to my hometown (Richmond Va) and set up a studio, think he's still there. Loved me some Camper Van...
Great song from my 2 favorite punks!
Rock on!

This is brilliant, i get an "undertones " vibe from this. I love the guitar, great punk style, great energy. Excellent collaboration.

Thanks for the link, ORH. I missed this. Definitely nails one of the personalities of Cracker. I can thank my ex-wife for turning me on to Cracker. She wasn't a big fan until I ripped a bunch of her CDs to MP3 – including
Kerosene Hat – and put them on our iPod. Every time a great song turned up in the shuffle, I'd ask, "Who's this!!?" It was usually Cracker. Within a few months, I had purchased all of their major releases. I became a huge fan.

Other Cracker trivia, possibly of interest to you, Hook, is that Elvis Costello "stole" Cracker's original bass player. Elvis' differences with Attractions' bassist Bruce Thomas became irreconcilable. The only difference between the lineup of Attractions and the Imposters is ex-Cracker bassist Davey Faragher.
Kari you are a genius and the finest punk rock material producer here! I loved the times when I would get a message or see a collab post that was so good, always good. And JimmyJames you are high on my list when it comes to lifeblood dedication to the craft with swift execution, for me it takes me 20 mins to write a message, 20 mins to write an email, impossible to send a text that I'm happy with. Several minutes doing this post lol. I'm a step and fetch for sure... (Ellipsis gone tomorrow!)
Funny how you mention Cracker, a couple weeks ago I had to climb a small mountain to replace some equipment and on the way down I played Happy Birthday a few times. The glee I get from listening to that song can't be measured. Haaaapyyyy, Happy Birth day to me!
Glad this got bumped, I love it!
It's a cracker alright........worthy of a spandex bump......I like the sound of your vocals here sore throat and all
