Here's my crack at a little part of the Abbey Road medley (definitely wouldn't have time to do the whole thing haha). Both these tracks have a real charm, especially Mustard. Love the harmonies and solo in Polythene Pam as well. I played the drums once again my Roland electric kit.
Roland e-drum kit
Epiphone Viola Bass
Epiphone Sheraton (through Boss Chorus Ensemble pedal on Mean Mr. Mustard)
Korg Piano
Godin Acoustic
Gibson Les Paul
Shure SM 58
Fender Blues Junior Amp
Mixed on BR 1200
Spectacular job on all the elements! You are a skilled multi-instrumentalist. I enjoyed this a lot! I also noted: nice job on a very smooth transition between the two "song-lets"
Holy! Terrific work here Keith. Really well recorded and played.
What can I say? It's fantastic!
Superb in every way - your attention to detail and sheer musicality make this such a great listen, and it sounds like you were also having a blast!
Well done, Keith!
Crikey!
I'll come back and comment more when I've assimilated all the talent there is on this - give me a couple of years.
What a cracker, really well done.... Alex
Wow this is one of the best Beatles covers I've heard in a long time. And there's benn some excellent ones here so the competition is tough.
Superb
Man there have been some fantastic covers done on this fest but the has risen to the top Bravo brother and I loved the drum work
Tim
I'm a bit lacking in my knowledge of the Beatles - I never really got into them so I have to admit I don't know these songs. But I can tell your playing, singing and production is top quality !
Pete
Holy Canoli...this is out standing! playing and singing are impeccable but your production skills are shining here my friend...impressive as he'll. Totally "Best In Fest" showing here.
Rock on!
A beauty of a cover you have also made your own Bravo!
I clicked on this with trepidation. The medley from Abbey Road is one of my favourite pieces of music of all time, I think it's a complete masterpiece. Well, I needn't have worried, you did an amazing job here. It's a really, really impressive piece of work but I was so disappointed you didn't do more, I was ready to sing "She came in through the bathroom window" at the end...... Maybe next time.... ;)
This is beautifully played, arranged, sung and produced. You really know what you are doing Keith and I really enjoyed listening to this.
Oh my! Absolutely outstanding. I did these for a previous Beatles Fest (the whole medley), and they are hard to nail. Unlike me you've done them properly - attention to detail and incredible skills. The guitar tone (and playing) on Polythene Pam alone is rapturous. Completely brilliant!
Totally brilliant cover Keith...so faithful to the original.....you caught the essence for sure...I love how the energy kind of lifts up a notch on the P. Pam section....it makes me think that this was a very early proto punk song ....way ahead of its time....and you caught the vibe perfectly....and what a guitar solo.....you forget you are listening to a cover .....it's that good.....well done and then some
this is such a mean old cover man....killer stuff...you know what you are doing
