A 1:58 dirty and distorted mangling.
Legend has it that the Beatles wrote and recorded it a few days after seeing Hendrix do Purple Haze. You can hear it. And Jimi was able to play it live a couple of days after Sgt Pepper's came out.
I had to change the key. Lennon is fine, but Macca is almost always beyond me.
Boss DS-1 distortion, reverb, and delay. MiM Strat and and Ibanez bass, plus GB drums. Recorded and mixed on the MBR with crowd and orchestra ambience added in Audacity.
Just watched your video on YouTube, where do you get all this crazy ass footage? Great cover brother, I dig
Rock on!
I've always loved this song Greeny and you've done a fab job on it! The guitar tone is so cool, clear and distorted all at the same time. I can understand why you changed the key...the original requires a lot of vocal strain and screaming to get to the top notes. Well done!

Again as I said to hook I had this blasting in my car.
Great guitar sounds and that voice just fits in perfectly.
Your doing a great job on these mate.
Wow, you're killing this fest Tim. Another one I prefer to the original !
Pete
Bloody Brilliant, Tim, youre a star my friend..
Well done... Alex
formidable interprétation, les références de la vidéo sur youtube please
Wow! Another stunning cover, this is really well done Tim. You did a fab (four) job on this, the playing is fantastic and the whole thing sounds so powerful. Brilliant work!!
And I didn't realise you had a YouTube channel, I found it and loved the video!
I gotta say the guitars sound amazing on here....absolutely amazing
Fab Tim !!
That is some great guitarwork !! Heavier than the original, and it really works well.
And I hear you on the Macca voice... but transposing worked great here !!
I'm a fan !

Oh yeah - you knocked this out of the park, Mr. Green. Guitars sound fab, the sound effects sound period-authentic, and a nice contrast of dynamics in the "it's wonderful to be here" part, too.
Loved it!
Ohhhhh! That bass!!! It is driving all the song!!!
Pro quality performance and production here! I didn't do a direct comparison to the original, but it felt like it had all the elements, played perfectly, as if it could be the real thing. Yet you tastefully added a few of your own stylistic elements. I like just how you put in the crowd and orchestra ambience, and as was noted the change in dynamics where the intensity backs off in one section then goes back to rip-roaring. Great!
I never knew a DS1 could sound so good!
The real top shining element of this song is the vocals though.I Just think you did an excellent job, you made it your own.
You're doing a great job of covering these Beatles songs, Tim. Personally, with my crappy vocals I wouldn't be game to try and sing anything McCartney or Lennon originally sang but you handle the fab four vocal work very well indeed. For the Beatle fest I might have a go at doing something instrumental maybe.
A real cracking version! I love all the lead guitar fills and your vocals are so great for this song. Love the bridge section as well with that sliding bass line! I know what you mean about Macca, I'd love to cover a Paul song easily and keep it to its original key but he is always singing so damn high. Damn you Paul! :)
Very cool rendition. Great performance. Really made it your own.
