I have not been very active musically the last years.
Life happened. ............
Well I did a performance last year in a church. Someone had heard me sing and wanted me to perform at an opening of an art exhibition. Go figure.
I shared it with some fellow songcrafters the other day and they said post it. So here it is.
3 Norwegian songs performed live with just me and my guitar.
The recording is not great, put the br80 and my iPhone on the chair in the front row as I stepped up to play. Mixed them together and that's it.
Hope to get some more new recordings done soon
Cheers
I especially like the second song there at 4:00....wow...this is great and to sit and play and sing and entertain is not easy to do...and you sound fantastic....
I have been to Norway once...Bergen...loved it and the surrounding beauty.
fantastic playing and singing..on these songs Geir and there is always room for another song...on songcrafters...
Great to hear something new from you again, Geir - and it's not a bad recording at all, for an iPhone in a church! What comes through clearly is your strong playing and fantastic voice.
More please!
Wow what a great performance, you're audience have got to have loved it.
Your vocal and playing are just great I wish I,d had been there!
You are the awesomest bud!!! The life you bring in music is incredible, I love it.

Me too, but we definitely would have been thrown out from being the rowdy fan crowd!
Was lucky enough to hear the preview. The ambience and reverb of the space seems perfect for your voice. And what a voice it is. And the guitar is so fragile and sensitive on that first song - just beautiful. I like the more upbeat, folky feel of the second song too. And then the return to an intimate whisper - almost a lullaby. Your performance is so cool and confident. Was it an audience of the dead? I'd have applauded wildly!
Magical stuff my friend.
I also had a preview on WhatsApp, don't understand a word but my that voice moves me.
Beautiful songs and playing Geir, the reverb in the church gives a lovely ambience to your voice. Soothing to the soul
Great to hear you sgain Geir, brilliant vox and playing, well done... Alex
the feelings/emotions in this performance are so strong that I'm quite convinced I understand norvegian lol.
It's not true, naturally, but it's true that I really miss your voice captain geir ;-)

I'll go with that. Soothing to the soul for sure. This is soooo good. You sound like you were born to do this, which I am sure you were... just grab a guitar and entertain. Your vocals are great... smooth and warm and the guitar and vocals seem to act as one unit perfectly. I have no idea what the lyrics are about obviously, but for some reason I am imagining this would be a great christmas time gig... a time for both rejoicing and also some reflection. Yep, this is good indeed.

Great to hear you play and sing again. You're definitely one of those people, I'm sure through hard practice but also a dose of natural talent, who can deliver a top quality live performance with special feeling and emotion. The vocal definitely has that and the guitar playing, too, is very natural and full sounding. Despite the sub-optimal way this was recorded it still sounds top quality and full, and I believe that is because of the quality of the performance is much more important than the recording method.
Great vocal and a nice song, in a pretty nice acoustic space.
Great stuff Geir, can't get much more stripped back than that and the quality of your vocals and playing shines through. Great stuff, great to hear music from you and looking forward to more soon.
