Post by: 64Guitars on April 20, 2021, 08:37:44 PM
It's time to vote for our next two festivals which will run from May 1 to June 30. Voting starts now and runs for 9 days. You can change your vote any time until the closing of the poll on Thursday, April 29th. To do so, click "Remove vote" to cancel your previous vote, then vote again.

This poll is for the "Covers" festival. There is a separate poll for the "Originals" festival. Please vote in both polls.

Remember, "Covers" is covers only, and "Originals" is originals preferred but covers welcome unless otherwise stated in the festival's description.

  • Murder Ballads - Covers of murder ballads (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_ballad). See https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=31026.0 (https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=31026.0).
  • Gone Solo - Songs by famous band members when they do solo side projects.
  • Americana - Covers of Americana music (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Americana_(music)).
  • BeatlesFest 2021 - Covers of songs by The Beatles.

If we do Beatlesfest, does that also mean we can cover Solo Beatle material?

The following is from a message I posted in December 2017 when we were voting for "Beatles Challenge Fest II" for the Jan/Feb 2018 covers fest (https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=27575.0). It lost by one vote to RecycleFest II.

I'll update this post throughout Beatles Fest 2021 if anybody covers any of the following songs. If any of these albums get completed, I'll make a jukebox for them.

The jukeboxes for the currently completed Beatles albums can be found here:

Here's a website that might be useful for learning Beatles songs. It contains a musical analysis of the official Beatles' canon, consisting of 187 songs and 25 covers.

Usually, as long as you have started it during festival time, just send 64 a PM letting him know. My last 3 are done I'm just spreading them out a little to not exhaust my welcome.

We will always accept songs after a festival ends, as long as the song was started during the festival and you notify the admin team before the festival ends that your post will be a bit late.
