Good one! I can really relate to the story and the chorus harmonies are very nice as well.
The synth gives this a very full and fore longing sound and feel Tim. A good lyric/story, vocals and I love those chorus harmonies!
The very solid rhythm guitar strum glues it all together perfectly.
Farrell
Well crafted and very lovely.
wow...big theme of a classic human tragedy....so well told and all too common I would guess... you have your very own style too.... I'll be listening to this again and again.
I really like that Song Tim , cool as you like, with a easy steady grove which is so good , your vocals are the icing on the cake in this song , well produced and recorded , great idea for a song, great stuff

A lovely song, Tim. Got a Springsteen feel to it and a great emotive vocal performance. Those underlying string sounds create a perfect bed for the song and the lyrics are beautiful.
Great song, nice story. Yes, someway Springsteen-style, I agree.
Alfredo
Great song idea. Loved the lyrics...wistful, lamenting, introspective. Solid backer for your well done vocals, especially impressive on the choruses. I was waiting for a bit of harp soloing :-)) Nice tune Tim...enjoyed the listen...a solid, well done song. "Time goes by in the blink of an eye"...so so very true man.
What a great song, it feels like it's from the late 60's, there's more than a bit of Bob Seger in this to my mind.
Very well done.
Brilliant Tim. Great storytelling, excellent composition and a stunning vocal performance. There's real power and emotion in those vox, they really tell the story so well. I too got a bit of a Springsteen vibe from the vox, which is a very good thing in my book.
This is a really good fest entry. Great use of the photo. Now the burning question.....is it you in the pic?
This is a great song Tim, and you deliver the vocal with such oomph.
The production is fabulous too.
I glad Ferryman asked the question. Feel free to tell us to mind our own, though. Or better still - make a story up ;) ;)
love it , love the lyrics , and a great voice to , wonderful melody , worth another listen brilliant stuff tim . cheers . tony cee
Lovely bit of chilled out storytelling Tim. Great vocals, and some great harmonies too. Lovely stuff.
Mike
Nice story telling lyric and tastful backer. Agree with the others, this has a bit Springsteen vibe, which is only positive!
Brilliant enter to the fest!
Seger... Springsteen... yep, getting both those things. 'Night Moves' especially springs to mind. And the comparison is that this is also beautiful, classic FM rock and storytelling. Right up my street. The songwriting, vocal and guitar are all superb. Love the emotion you put into the vocal delivery.
So jealous of that chorus, lol.
Magnificent!!!!!
How did I miss it? It is simple and really great, the best kind to me, really outstanding !!!
An excellent track. It's got it all. Very smooth and well crafted. J
Your melody and vocal both make the melancholy story hit right in the gut. You've done a fine job of putting a picture into words (and music.)
Damn it Man
I'm digging that simple strumming, under the heartfelt lyrics and your killer vocals... so expressive.
Outstanding delivery of the chorus
