Was playing around with a simple chord progression and stumbled upon some lyrics while walking the dog. So the jist of it is about freedom of speech I guess and how it is being encroached upon in modern times via intimidation, cancel culture, shaming, etc. It came out a bit rockier than I had imagined, was probably going for more of an indie maybe slightly punk sound, but it sounds more like straight ahead hard rock I think.

two thums up..... this is everything I love in a rock music song....everything.... the guitars sound amazing...a wall of scraching, buzzing, just really really glistening...a wall of guitars... I think also your vox remind alot of Mark Knopfler, in tone and style a little although still unique to you...and the little background vocals I really dig.... I caught a touch of old style stones/tragically hip guitar here...and they lyrics speak what i think exactly right now.... this is crazy good Mike....
I will listen to this a hundred times in the next two weeks....
I think you should do a song a let Dunny have a lead in it....and that would be for me....aurally orgasmic!  YOU ROCK MIKE!

Wall of guitars is alway good I agree straight head rocker and very nice

Sounds amazing! Love the crunch of the riff. Filthy but tuneful. The way the chorus chords open up from the tight riffing is really cool. Excellent lyric, and the vocal is great too - Mark Knopfler vibes.

Great guitars Mike, a really punchy, rocky sound and I loved the guitar break at 1:30. It absolutely rocks! It's definitely got a Knopfler-y vibe about it, you need to speed it up a bit for punk.... ;)

Nice work, a real rocker to get the toes tapping and the head nodding.

Yeah, I thought Dire Straits too.  The chorus is especially strong and effective.

Cool driving track and great lyrics. Gotta love those rocky guitars giving a nice grungy feel to the song. Great track, Mike.

Quality stuff from the of, love your guitar work Mike spot on, vocals are really good with a hint of Knopfler spice thrown in , i hope that is a compliment to you, altogether a truly cracking track with great lyrics and vocal performance

Just off as a rock track really enjoyed it, but vocal stands out most really  well  delivered and great lyrics  too, great  stuff  well done!!
