Post by: StephenM on December 01, 2020, 12:55:07 AM
I had to get the bad taste out of my mouth....
I kind of did a mash up on something I recorded a bit earlier this year.... Epiphone Les Paul.... Epiphone bass.... Boss BR1600 recording and guitar effects.... Alesis Performance Pads drums.... quite a few guitar tracks...
Instrumental...

I like the feel on this. Dark, brooding and ominous. Excellent playing and guitar layering - the wide panned lead parts sound really nice chiming and harmonising against each other. Interesting how it fades and returns too. Nice work!

This is an cool, guitar oriented, epic instrumental Stephan! Some good layering of the instruments without over crowding. Your soloing brought Neil Young to mind. Well done!

You have produced this track very tastefully, Stephen with effective panning/mixing. Lovely well played guitar soloing with a slight touch of Floyd IMO. Great job; well done.

Lots of interesting ideas going on here, and it's all played and flows together well. I could imagine this fitting very well as a soundtrack piece.

Nice and bluesy.  I have the feeling that this is a "work in progress", yes?  Because I could imagine a nice bluesy lyric line.  ;)

Love the mood and feel of this one. Great guitar playing, some fab leads in there with some really cool moves. It really held my interest, I've had it looping for a while now and it's a really good listen. Very nice work!

Love this Steven this is your best work yet IMO , laid back bluesy and rocky , you guitar playing is brilliant on this track and matches the chords and vibe of the composition to a Tee , love the tone and phrasing in the lead guitar, and the backing track which you have developed beautifully, with great timing on the drums and bass , you have cornered a niche here with this style of playing and vibe , two thumbs up brilliant stuff

At 5 minutes long I could have gone longer, and that's a sign you have something cool here.

The guitar textures remind me of 90s alt rock guitar tones, especially the Cranberries, and my own Canadian homegrown guitar heroes of the 90s, the Tragically Hip.
