I don't think I would be writing or recording anywhere near as much as I am if I hadn't found Songcrafters. Truly I have been inspired by so many on here... and I have tried things that I never would have otherwise. Years ago I played in a cover band and really had fun but it was always my desire to write and record...to try my hand at engineering and production. It is challenging and fun. Also I was smart enough to know I was never going to make a living at this so at this point of my life it is just about pleasing myself. It is rewarding to have some of you listen because it validates me as a musician and songwriter.
This is very progressive rock I would say, which is my absolute first love of music. But I haven't really played much of it because I couldn't. So I have been really working hard at my abilities to play guitar, drums, bass.... and for me this is one of my favorites.
Harley Benton PRS copy using some of the whammy bar..... (4 tracks, 2 rhy, 2 lead).... 1 track epiphone bass... Alesis Nitro drum kit ....recorded and mixed on Zoom R24 and mastered by Landr... boss ME-25 guitar wah and effects...for bass and guitar.
I have a little squeak that appeared in the track... sorry... I think it's from the track being too big and it was compressed/// I will try a different compress
Hey this was cool.
Sounds great and I'm impressed you play everything yourself. Well done
Had to listen to this a couple times as there is a lot going on but it all good in the wall of sound I would say epic is the right word for this well done
Tim
Wow, heavvvvvvyyyy! Love the powerful guitar sounds and growly bass, just loving the part where it drops right down to bass and drums. It's complex and the lyrics have some amazing imagery in them. This is a kind of heavy/psychedelic/prog extravaganza and I really enjoyed it. Lots of twists and turns and as Tim said, it's a wall of sound that really hits you from the off.
Very imaginative Steve, and an absolutely epic track. You might want to try some of Phantasm 777's work on here, it's in a similar (but different) vein.
Electrically charged finger I've got to get me some of those ... an excellent live feel
