I lost my mum recently and about a month after it at my Big brothers 60th party I became very aware
As the night was coming to an end that there was a huge gap ,a feeling of emptiness in the room.
I looked across to my two brothers and I could see it also in their faces.
The next night I sat down at my piano with my mic and this song came out.
It's not a brilliant vocal by any means as I found it hard to sing as it filled me with emotion .
But I like that about it,you can hear it in my voice.
For my sweet mum,,,,,and Dad .

Beautiful song, Kenny - a wonderful tribute to your mum and dad.
Yep,
I know this feeling mate, 10 years on and its still there. You'd think that by the time we reached our late 50s that we'd be pretty sorted wouldn't you?
Sending you the love that only Yorkshire can give.
Thanks guys appreciate it.
Beautiful, mate. So moving and I empathise totally. My dad went some 28 years ago and I still miss him. My mum is now ninety and sadly is now unable to live in her own home so I have just recently moved her into residential care. I'm in the process of clearing her stuff that she can't take with her. It's tough.

Nothing better than a heartfelt song I wrote one for my dad after he passed but have never been able to get through it. I feel for you brother

Beautiful and heartfelt tribute to your parents. Fine song and performance.
A really lovely song Kenny. That a beautiful piano line you have written - a lovely tribute.

I can relate Kenny, I've lost 2 close family members in the past 4 years.
Beautiful song and the vocals are spot on.
Sending my love brother.
