It's been an interesting few months. Landed in the hospital with some tick-related illness (Ehrlichiosis) and then managed a house fire. I'm safe, pets are safe, but kitchen not so good, and plenty of soot to still go around.
In the midst of this, we finally did our first gig as The Electric MoO (an extension of our acoustic Museum of Oddities). I convinced the guys to gig like we practice, which meant electric drums and Pod-type direct boxes. We mixed through my Tascam recorder, and the bleed from the vocal microphones wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
I thanked this community once before after John and I worked up the gumption to start gigging, and I have to say thank you again. I'm convinced this gig wouldn't have happened were it not for me finding this site back in the Micro BR-centric days. The venue owner has since offered us a monthly residency.
The setlist from the evening is below. It reads like my Songcrafters playlist for the most part.

Dang, that's enough trouble to keep anyone busy over a few months. Glad to hear that you and your pets are okay, and hopefully all the instruments and gear are as well. Oh, and congrats on the regular gig! Onto the song...
This is seriously good (and one of my faves from The White Album) - lots of power in the vocals, and the guitars and drums sound fab. A stunner all around.
Jahia and I sympathize with your erhlichiosis problems
That and a fire is a lot for one man
What a wonderful interpretation of Dear Prudence, very impressed by the singing !
Oh man! Where's the comedy in that set of events? You used to be such fun...
What I mean is, wow, what a shit time mate, sorry to hear about the kitchen and diseases, you can really do without them altogether. I'm hoping you're on the mend and that you can get your house put back in order.
It's great that this site has got people gigging (again), Jarle's band release their first album on Friday, which is great news, it's really heartening to hear of the way we have all enriched each others lives, I enjoy hearing about these things - so thanks for that.
That's a great set and I like the notes of guidance - Jam> Breakdown> - more like stage directions than a set list - I'm stealing that thank you.
I will listen to Dear Prudence in about an hour - I have a job and a mortgage to pay and someone wants my input...
I'm sorry to hear about your hardships with health and the house fire. (Ehrlichiosis) doesn't sound good at all. I'm glad you've recovered from that Blooby.
The live recording sounds real good so I can hear why you landed a gig residency at the venue...well done!
Farrell
Damn brother! I knew about the fire but not the tick shit, sorry you're going through all that. This sounds absolutely excellent, of course you guys got the gig. E-MoO really makes me happy...but I do wish I lived closer and could be your drummer.
What a great machine that Tascam 24sd is. Mixed and recorded a live gig of a 5 piece band and it sounds awesome. very cool guys.
Rock on!
Sorry for your problems, I hope you're coming out of them...
And anyway this is a great cover, but I had no doubt about it even before listening...
Alfredo
well it was longer than an hour - but it's worth the wait, delightful, very relaxed jam stylee.
utterly awesome.
Sorry for your problems - good to hear you're in safe.
When I was studying in the 80's, this song was on a cassette (cassette, of course ;D ), this takes me back to that era - excellent version!
Quality stuff, enjoyed that Blooby... lovely raw sound too
Mike
Sorry about your troubles Bruce.
This is excellent..
I'd love to sit in with you guys at some time in the future !!
Great stuff. Nice clear sounding recording for live, holy moly. Lovely guitar solo..........
This is fantastic stuff, you are one tight band! Love the arrangement and performances, vocals are fantastic and the guitar solos are excellent. I really liked the wah work.
Is that Dear Mr. Fantasy by Traffic I see on the setlist? I love that song. It was the first album I ever bought back in 1967 at the grand old age of 10. Nice choice for a setlist!
Nice job, great vocal, would love to hear you at a gig. Willie
