"It Was a Very Good Year" is a song Ervin Drake composed in 1961. It was subsequently made famous by Frank Sinatra's which won the Grammy Award for Best Vocal Performance, Male in 1966.
The song recounts the type of girls with whom the singer had relationships at various years in his life. Each of these years he calls "very good". In the song's final verse, the singer reflects that he is older, and in the autumn of his years, and he thinks back on his entire life "as vintage wine".

I'm blown away by this..

You know how you're doubly naked, solo vocal with guitar, well here is an example of being tripple-ly naked, solo guitar, voice and a foreign tongue, tackling a song by a true vocal icon, and just to beat yourself up some more, you chose this song.

Performance quality. Faultless, made more beguiling by the French accent.

I love this song and this has become my favourite version.

Bravo.

Fantastique! So well done. I would say it in French but my French is poor, and my wife isn't in at the mo to translate for me!

I love the melody in the guitar and the vocal both. I would never have thought of doing this song and couldn't do it justice like you've done. I think you've just about captured everything that lyric could convey with your rendition.
