Title: Don't Believe
Post by: The Gobi Desert Canoe Club on December 20, 2017, 06:02:36 AM
Hi all and seasons felicitations, just a quickie so to speak.  Hope you enjoy.    Willie

Doesn't matter what you tell yourself
You can never win
All this crying ain't good for my health
She won't let you in
I left without a word
Never left a clue
Don't believe the things you heard
Not all of them are true

I was working at the factory
Eighteen hours a day
Someone told you I was cheating
But don't believe what they say
I was working for a diamond ring
One that you could see
I was working for a family
That starts with you and me

Instrumental

I was working for a diamond ring
One that you could see
I was working for a family
That starts with you and me

Guess that won't be happening now
If you believe what they say
You closed the door like you closed your heart
You just walked away

Verse one to fade
