Title: My song needs vocals and a lead guitar!
Post by: waynesan76 on March 09, 2008, 08:54:34 PM
Hello all,
I just wrote this little tune and I'm struggling with the lead guitar and vocals. I've been exclusively playing the blues for a while now, and that may be my achilles' heel here. I welcome anyone to try to add some life to it. I especially like "oldrottenhead"'s lyrics, so if you see this please give it a shot (I know you're probably busy learning about your new SR-16). Anyhow, here it is:

Great instrumental. Very calming and smooth with a solid structure. This has potential to become a very cool song.

Thanks guys! I tried messing around with a lead guitar part, but no matter where I played it seemed to be off-key. I'm only farmiliar with the major, minor, and blues scales, so I gave a shot at it with the maj scale at the root of c. I thought that would work, but...nope. I'm seriously lacking in theory! Guess I should've taken those lessons many years ago as my good friend suggested.:(

just back from purgatory aka eurodisney. should be renamed the eastern bloc cause you have to queue for everything.

i do quite a good donald duck, might even do a donald duck lyric for this, will probably be about queuing and overpriced reformmed meat products, 8euros for a hot dog wi about 5% meat content (only if you dropped it in a puddle tho). am off to put this in ma mbr , nice stuff waynesan76 will see if i can come up wi something.

well hear it is a rant inspired by the disney experience, and includes a punch up with a very vocal donald duck at the end.

is now called "an a don't give a donald (duck)" which is rhyming slang for i dont give a ####.

No apologies required here! That was friggin hilarious! I think some fitting titles would be "Disgruntled at Disney" or "Rat Rage". I had a vision of ORH sacking a Mickey Mouse mascot on the side of a highway. Hilarious indeed! The laughs were well worth the time it took me to record that very basic song. Nice slide work Ron!

This is just brilliant!

I was gonna ask if i could do some Donald duck but of course James threw it in there and does it better than me right to the tee.
