in my bag of French songs, I like this one
"J'ai 10 ans" (I am 10 years old)
the lyrics are Alain Souchon and the music of Laurent Voulzy

Laurent Voulzy is a good guitarist and it is through him in France that I heard the first finguers picking, as in this song

Laurent Voulzy said  himself had inspired bya song of Paul Mac Cartney (for the picking touch) which is called "Bip Bop", her in You Tube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLrF0QjOhDU)

PS "t'are ta gueule " is a slang expression   I will break your face at the scool recreation

"les filles sont des cloches " slang approximatively the girls are idiots   ;D :o

how to remove the thread and replace it with the same revised and corrected ? redo a new thread

Once a thread has been commented on it can't be removed, however you can remove the original MP3 and replace that with your revised version.

As Oldrottenhead said, topics can't be removed once they have replies. That wouldn't be fair to the people who posted those replies. No member should have the ability to remove messages posted by other members, so topics can only be removed by administrators and we will only do that if there are no replies.

However, as Oldrottenhead said, you can replace the MP3 attachment in your original post. If you're not happy with the original MP3, then there's no point in keeping it, so just remove the attachment and then attach the new MP3 in its place. Here's a guide that shows how to do that:

the lyrics of this song are special

 the author is put in the shoes of a child of 10 years and speak as a child

les filles sont des cloches litteraly the girls are bells ?!   in fact cloche = Incompetent, left, unkind; nil, shabby, term of contempt, insult,

t'are ta gueule   literaly  you will see your mouth

in fact t'are is a contraction de tu vas voir (you will see)

ta gueule your face

à la récré contraction de school recreation

Je vais souvent Dans les montgolfières des géants Et des petits hommes verts do not look that does not mean ;D it is a fantasy of a child  approximatively traveling in a balloon with Marsiens !!

JP....I can relate... I am 61...but not really... I'm more like a teenager... I don't like adulting much... this is a very good recording... reminds of "The Grateful Dead in French"....  love the sounds....really big but simple...lots of breathing space....

c'est tres poetique ! I loved all your french songs so far, and I forgot to say original lyrics are so beautiful
