Title: "Hold Me"
Post by: boneonbone on June 09, 2017, 07:09:49 PM
Don't know what possessed me to write this type song, but if you like schmaltzy "love lost" 'the one that got away" type ballads, you might want to give this a listen.  My first attempt recording synth strings backing my acoustic on the BR800.

What if I was wrong, and you were the one
What will I leave behind, when my life is done
A wisp of smoke that dances away on a summer breeze,
A sliver of light that drowns in the shade of fallen trees,
Hold me

What stands before your eyes, you don't always see,
'Til a beacon of light, pierced through the night and surrounded me,
You showed me love in a way I never knew before,
And loneliness after you left, when you needed more
Unfold me,               then hold me.

Walking the shoreline at night, in the pouring rain
You are not here by my side, and I feel the pain,
I call out your name through the dark, hoping you'll be there,
I picture your face in the clouds, in the stars, everywhere........everywhere

Walking the shoreline at night, while the pouring rain,
Washes the tears from my eyes, things are not the same.
Like sand that was ripped from the shore, by an angry sea,
Love swept away by the current, deep inside of me.......reach for me

What if you were wrong, and I was the one,
All that you had hoped for, came undone.
You showed me love in that way I'd never known before,
And emptiness after you left, 'cuz you needed more

Come hold me.........just hold me

What a great sounding recording, and a fine collab! Guitars, vocals, harmonies and strings work so well together.

You made a really good tune!

Lovely stuff, mate. Very intimate sounding & superbly recorded - it's like being treated to a private performance.

So Pro sounding. Clear & clean recording with a nice mix of instruments.
Vocals sit in the mix so perfectly. Nice work.
