Title: A 50's analog studio in the UK
Post by: Farrell Jackson on May 19, 2017, 01:15:32 PM
I'm sure some you will enjoy this. Takes you back to the days of serious analog recording. It's modeled after Sun Studio. There's some good tips on positioning and recording with one to four mics. This is a soundonsound article/video of Sugar Ray's Vintage Recording Studio. A bit lengthy at 30 minutes but I enjoyed it all.

I remember watching this a couple of years ago, and thinking what a 'Boys Home' dream it was. I can't see it making much money, but if you're rich enough to afford all that gear, it probably won't matter. But imagine going to work in somewhere like that every day. Bliss.  8)
