So I got a little ambitious with this acoustic cover. "Mountain Jam" is an epic extended jam by The Allman Brothers Band containing about 6 or 7 different movements. It begins with guitar harmonies based on Donovan's "First There Is A Mountain" and can weave through everything from Jimi Hendrix's "Third Stone From the Sun" to Herbie Hancock's "Fat Mama" to "Will the Circle Be Unbroken", and can clock in at anywhere between 10 to 45 minutes. I tried to edit it down to the essentials (and without an extended drum or bass solo since I know my limitations). It is still the longest tune I've arranged and recorded at 12 minutes, so it won't hurt my feelings if you don't stay stick around for the finale ;)
All instruments are me:
Recording King Dobro | Cigar Box Biscuit Guitar | Harmony Acoustic | Bass | Cajon & Maraca

Have you listen my song "rescue" in SC (https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=26499.0)
it s a song of a friend french professor in St Louis (and also folk singer) and he play with a very good dobro player and professor: Troy Brenninmeyer
...and more Dobro please ;)
I never I thought I'd see a "Mountain Jam" on this site (unless I was really intoxicated), much less an acoustic version. I am absolutely loving this. Always loved that melody.
Will be back tomorrow for the full listen and am looking forward to it.

Thanks all, it was a lot of fun to put together. Blooby, I never thought I'd tackle it, but I had to give it a shot after hearing it so much at Wanee.
Jahia, "Rescue" sounds great! Love the dobro playing.
Fabulous :)
I doodle around Mountain Jam themes a lot on various electric guitars.
This is just gorgeous. Nice one.
