Nooooooodle Soup is served :
Ha Ha Most people like noodles in their soup!!! Oh and carrots too!! Where do you get these ideas??. I loved your guitar playing. Oh sorry lemon just doesn't cut it. this has to be the strangest soup ever.:) :) But excellent guitar. Gives a great mood. You shouldn't have blisters on your fingers. You should have them on your tongue. Ha Ha Great song!!
P.J.
Spooky and deep. This is a deep bowl indeed. I couldn't even imagine singing like that for a whole song. Great, fabulous guitar. It sounds like you are under water (bottom of the soup bowl?).

I am !!!! ::) ....... no ... not really . Mounted the new stereo mic at the sunscreen in the car, and recorded while driving to pick up some stuff for an upcoming celebration.
The result was (as expected) lots of background noise!!. So I experimented with some noisereduction that didn't work out >:(... ended up putting a lot of chorus to the left and flanger to the right ... voila : SOUP ;D ;D ;D !!!
cheers
Sweet, very inspiring, i would love to be able to do something like this!

sounds like the bottom of a bong. hope you werent driving under the influence geir. something about this reminds me of can for some reason, maybe one of their ethic forgery series of songs from there early days.
Another awesome cool noodle-bluez song! Your voice kind of reminds me of Frank Zappa!
Always different, always good loved the solo

He he ... well thanx !! A great hero of mine ... and one to listen to when it comes to great productions... He has used some similar effects on some of his vox ... I just had to add some depth to the vox on this one after EQ-ing away much of the low freq car noise .... "art" by accident :D
This stuff is great....!
'P' in my soup!!!! LOL
Great!
By the way....
WTF are noodles and Noodling?!!
Never heard of it before!

"Call any vegetables !!!!"
Geir
hey, by the way, i love p-minor. h-major or v-mixolydian is also great.
and a qoute from the "suppenkasper":
nein, nein, nein, i will keine nudeln mehr essen!
great story, not only for kids
This is completely mad but we would of course expect no less from Geir ;D I just love your off the wall (well, in the car) recording method. I often see people singing away in the car while driving, now I'll wonder of they are recording themselves on an MBR! At least you didn't record the guitar part while driving....
But it worked so well! This is really different and the guitar is great. The vox give it a completely unique feel, well done. You're one heck of a creative guy! ORH is right, there is a big slice of Can in there. Perhaps noodle soup from a Can....
Cheers,
Nigel

I can assure you I was absolutely not DUI... I was on call in my job so I had a completely sober week. :)

Didn't I? .... well - no I didn't.. I Started the recording before putting the car in motion and stopped the car before the MBR ....

I'm slightly embarrassed to say I'm not familiar with Can. I'll try to look them up but imagine searching for can with google is a bit futile ....
Can you recommend any albums ?

Don't be embarrassed, you're probably not as old as me and ORH! Can were probably the most "out there" band from the late 60s/early 70s (although they have been going in various incarnations up to fairly recently). Very avant garde, hugely influential and some of their stuff is pretty challenging. But most of it is stunning and way ahead of its time. Check out:

and some of the related videos to get a feel for them. They did many great albums, I would recommend "Future Days" as an intro.
BTW, your inventive, off the wall style and openness to try really different things is just what Can did!
Cheers,
Nigel
Yeahhhhhh baby.............
Thanks for the bump Dave.

There's also a version of this with some organic additions from SdC:

This also reminds me of all the challenges we had at that time, ..... maybe time for another ?
maybe we should have a challenge festival at some point
I think I want to P in your soup too! glad this resurfaced, it's a fun one. Might I add that your production skills have vastly improved since this.
Hey Geir this sounds great and unique! The fact that you recorded the vox while driving in the car makes it doubly unique. I heard a bump in there....did you mow down a pedestrian on the way? Lol, just kidding. The chorus and the flange on the vocal is cool! Also some very tasty soup guitar licks in there. For some reason I'm getting a similar feel as the theme song for The Sopranos....I think it's your voice and effects. Great work!
Farrell
;D ;D ;D
This is a cracker Geir,
Top class my friend.
