Title: Hello, my intro
Post by: Davidtheguy on December 29, 2016, 03:33:17 PM
Hello
My name is David Steven Guy and I live in the United Kingdom. I have just joined this forum. I think a lot of people on here use Boss equipment, I use a Tascam DP03 and Audacity. I have also found a couple of sites you can use to master songs using computer algorithms, Landr and Wavemod, these can make your recording sound better. I play keyboards mainly, Yamaha DGX650.

I will listen to some other people's songs as well as uploading my own.

Welcome to Songcrafters David. I'm sure you'll find friendly & helpful bunch of music makers here.
Do you have the DP03 with the faders? that one looks quite cool. I've used the 004, 008ex & now have the 24sd & love it. I also use the Boss BR80 often too. Lots of great knowledge here so feel free to ask away!
Rock on!

Welcome from Finland, David! I'm sure you're in the right place. In the nutshell, this is a friendly and supportive site, like Hook said. You can get help with technical questions if needed.

I use Boss BR-80 and trusty old Boss Micro BR. I'm Audacity user, too. I'm familiar with Landr, but now when you mentioned Wavemod, I'm gonna check it out.

Hello David and welcome from South East Wales.

This is the rarest of things; an internet community that is friendly, supportive and inclusive. It's helped my songwriting and performing develop hugely.

And I've never owned any Boss BR- recorders.

Hi David,

What a great introduction, welcome to the site.

We are a particularly friendly and helpful bunch, take a bit of time to read the sticky subjects in The General Discussion area of the board and join in and have some fun.

We have Fests every two months, one for covers and one for originals, you're free to post into these but don't feel obliged to do so. This two month period is 'Lost in 2016', submissions to this fest should be covers of a song or piece of music by an artist who died in 2016, and 'Crimefest' which you may post either original songs or covers relating to some aspect of Crime or Criminal activity.

Cheers

Mike

Hi David,

Welcome from me in Melbourne Australia.

I agree with the "friendly" and "addictive" descriptions for this site.

The site did start life as a Boss user group (independent of Boss), but has morphed into a songwriting and recording community. I have learned a lot from my colleagues here.
