I'm loving this new acoustic & the new avenues it's opening up for me. Last night, I was having a few whiskys & this little fingerpicked thing started falling out of my fingers as I was noodling around. I sat down this morning with the guitar & my Samson Go-Mic and recorded the chord sequence into Audacity, literally just making it up as I went... I had the basic verse section mapped out from my whisky fueled noodling last night. But the "chorus" & "middle 8" sections were done on the fly. I then improvised a melody with the slide.
There's a few places where the tempo gets a bit "elastic" but on the whole, I'm happy with it :)
Cheers for listening :)
It works a treat to my ear John..."gooo on Git another wee dram down yoo it seem ta wuk fur ya a treet" says the the devil on your right shoulder you can always record it in the morning
Sounds so good John, as Trev said get a few more down ye tonight,

That is super Johnny... this is where it is at.
Real raw blues, going back to where it all began. You got a great little tune here and that guitar sounds great. A great title too!!
Mike
Straight out of the delta - I expected Robert Johnson to join in at any minute. Super blues goodness, marvellous.

That would be fun! Let me know if you want the version without the lead part :)
No thanks , I'll sing with the lead.
Ah... you beat me to it Hook...
Would it be ok to have a couple of versions of this... I was thinking to mess around with it two (a great song I think!).
Mike
Oh yea brother, Do it!!!
Nice one Hook ;) Will be cool to hear 2 different takes!
Delta Blues with Johnny Do-Robbro! Your acoustic slide melody, tone and style has a real dobro sound to it. It's great that you've been smitten with your new acoustic and it sounds excellent. This is real nice, it's the kind of music I search out when I'm in the mood for some acoustic blues.

Wow!
It's hard to believe you didn't have an acoustic for a long time, when a genius like you needs one!
So good, I love your creations John.
This lays me back and relaxes me in the way that good acoustic blues should. Well written, well played. I especially like the sequence of chords in the bridge: it's not a typically blues sequence, but it fits perfectly. Great ending too.
Great acoustic blues - you're new geetar sounds terrific!
