Title: "The Coming Punch" a Hook original (explicit-ish)

So I've been engulfed in happy, sappy, cartoony songs and this came out yesterday. I did the Uke (the Kala Archtop tenor) and vocal track in the car. I added the rest today. Pulled out my ebow that I've never recorded with and took it to my Mandobird (electric 4 string Mandolin shaped like a Thunderbird).
1 uke/vocal (stereo)
1 mega distorted Bass (stereo)
1 drums (rolandhandsonic-stereo)
1 bass drum
1 Ebowed mandobird
The Coming Punch

I'm not right
I think I'm f***** up in the head
my heart beats so fast
it's going to run out of my chest
my brain both comprehends and rejects
all streams of Consciousness
even solid objects

My Visions quite good
Focus not too much
I see things less then how they are

nor does fantasy calm
Luxuries lack luster
Even Comfort feels wrong
My spinal cord and spine
are twisted and out of line
Importance holds no importance
if you've already wasted the time

Another winner, Hook... I love the way you've got that slightly "disturbed" vibe running right through the music. The whole thing hangs together brilliantly well, and that maniacal laugh at the end sent a shiver down my spine!

Pleasantly macabre. What drums are you using? They don't sound programmed.

I like the run-on at the end too, laugh and all.

A very dark tune there brother. Loved it! Great lyrics, loved the drums and the ebow sounds gives its quite an eerie effect. Awesome.
