Hi,
Sorry if this double posts. I thought I posted it, but I didn't see it posted.
Here is a cover of "Take On Me," originally by A-Ha!
Recorded on a Boss Micro BR BR-80 using only the onboard microphones and COSM.
Drums were programmed using Music Mentor Session on an old laptop with Windows XP.
Guitars: Oni CF-8 and SO-7.
Bass: Dingwall NG-2
The vocals were done in a hurry and need some serious rework.
I look forward to hearing your feedback.
Cheers,
Bostjan.
Love the heavier approach to this. Some really nice guitar work.
great first post, you are a brave man going for those high notes. bravo.
Thanks so much! You are both too kind.
What a ballsy choice! And wow ! I love the heavy approach ..... Some excellent guitar work here!
I was a bit afraid for the vocals after your introduction, but I was put to shame ! You really pulled it off brilliantly!
And of course you get an extra star for posting a Norwegian song as your first song post ;D
Son-of-a-gun..............beauty..........brilliant cover man. I love this, a real crackerjack. I love the guitars and of course the vocal is so great. Big smile on my face. Love the guitars!!!!!
Oh yes I liked the heavier treatment too. You sound like you've got a really strong voice throughout your range. Congrats!
Nice one, man! That's some really fine playing and singing - sounds to me like you've learned the recording craft quite well!
I really enjoyed that! What a blast! Vocals pretty damn good if you ask me. The rockier arrangement really works - particularly like the double kick-drum parts.
Post more.

That's a great cover, vocals are really excellent and the guitars way too good great post
Wow! Thanks so much!
Just please don't be mad if I post a song or two from Sweden. ;)
Excellent re-make of this song! This heavy guitar version works so well and your vocals are impeccable. This song is proof that you've done quite well learning how to record and mix in a home studio environment. I really enjoyed your first post and look forward to hearing some more!

Super stuff. Ah the solo is great - that little flurry of notes, very cool!!
Very well performed, but the idea itself was great to give the song this style. That would have been a great entry for 80's fest if AHa were included in the brief, but i don't think they are. Anyhow really enjoyed that.
Cheers
Mike

Great cover of the classic! Awesome playing! Welcome to the site!
A really inspired choice of cover, and a heavier guitar style works so well on it. Great playing and vocals - you're a brave man taking on those high notes, but you pulled it off in style. The way you handled that instrumental / solo bit in the middle was so good, and you definitely have all the mixing skills.
Really fine work.
Totally badass, love the edge and a pretty impressive vocal considering your modest introduction. You can sing dude!
Great post.
Rock On!
Yip, badass sums this up - super cover of a classic tune. I listened to this the other day - forgot to comment at the time. Great cover, keep 'em coming.

Wow a great rocked up version. Marvellous! Welcome to the community, great playing and programming. I really like what you've done here :)
Great rocky version - nice tight guitar sound. And there's nothing wrong with the vocals - really good.
Looking forward to hearing more from you..

Now ... Don't take this the wrong way.
I bloody hate this song.
Falsetto voiced, Norwegian gits.
And you ... Yes you ...

Have made it bearable. :D
Excellent version, superb guitars & great production.
Keep the vocals hurried amigo, 'cause if it gets any better, I might actually find myself humming along to it ;)
