I got the inspiration & title from a comment Cuthbert left on a post (can't remember which one) that really stuck in my head. In fact in the same thread Nick mentioned that it sounded like a great title for a song & I do have to say he was right. These lyrics took me a few days to finish & just did the recording, LITLR, at the kitchen table with my uke. I plugged the uke in direct and used one built in mic, I do love the simultaneous 2 track recording on the 008.

Stunning bit of songcraft right there...
Mr. Hook, you are an alchemist who can somehow turn a little potty-humor joke into something poetic and beautiful and a bit melancholy, too. I wish I had some of that talent. The LitLR approach works well, and your uke and vocals are top-notch as always.
Well done, my friend - well done.
Excellent hook,as cuthbert says it's amazing how a comment in a post gave out such inspiration .
Brilliant lyrics.
Well done.
i'm off on my hollyhocks to greece again so probs last comment till i get withdrawl symptons from songcrafters. this is pure braw, the tone of the uke is percussive and beautiful. braw tell yer maw,
Nice one Hook,
all from a comment on here....
Really well done to you......

I remember the thread in question being about a bizarre and unsavoury novelty product.
Nothing bizarre or unsavoury about this though.
Ridiculous to the sublime in fact.
Beautifully understated yet honest.
I love the uke backer.
Top quality stuff.
Great tune and title brother. Love the simplicity of this, with its almost reggae feel. Music cut back to its bare bones, and all the better for it.

Enjoyable LitLR stuff! Sweet jazzy chords and excellent singing! Well done!
Excellent song, Hook. Great litlr preformance.
I must admire how you have get this song working so well, with minimalist elements. Vocals are solid and your voice reminds me of Gordon Haskell(one of my favorites). Impressive.
This is very lovely song! So clear sound and I love those sophisticated jazzy chords! Did you do this in your car? I can't understand how you can get there so clear sound?!? ???
Another cracker from The Random Dozen.
