Improvised the uke part (through the pocket pod) this morning before my 1st gig & did the u-bass in between gigs, both in car. The U-bass is definitely a different beast, you cant bend the strings and they often want to roll under your fingers and You hear every placement of your fingers. This track is straight into the 008 with the wood bass input setting, It's gonna take some practice but luckily I love playing the crazy thing. I did the Animoog parts this evening at home.
1 uke (stereo)
1 U-bass (I copied the track and panned equally on both side so kinda stereo)
1 animoog pad (stereo)
1 animoog keys (stereo)

Damn fine stuff here, Mr. Hook!
Nobody does a fuzzy uke part like you, and the new uke bass sounds absolutely fantastic. The synth parts remind me a bit of Be Bop Deluxe when Bill Nelson was in his "Japan" phase - great music, man.
Hook, This is superb, You are so good on the uke, amazing...

braw tell yer maw, i'm getting a bill nelson vibe from this, i love the subtle change around 1.03.
Very nice work, Mr Hook. I like it. Smooth and soothing to listen to.
Regarding the double-tracked bass, are you using a DAW to edit/mix your tracks?
If so, you can maximize track doubling, width and effect by using a VST plugin called a Harmonizer.
It allows you to modify stereo tracks separately in one 1/100th of a semi-tone increments.
No need to use two tracks of the same instrument.
Does very nice things for vocals and instruments.
You could take a single vocal track and make it sound like a dozen people singing backup vocals with you.
I frequently use it on Trevor's vocals. And mine as well.
Very well done Hook! The Uke Bass has such depth to it for a small body instrument. It's lows are lower than low. Nice!

Nice one, Hook.
Lovely tune Hook. Who needs a guitar when you can play the uke like that?
You are an artist !!!!!!
Well done brother !!

No Gene, I do all the mixing and mastering on my Tascam DP-008. I do trim my ends and normalize with audacity but not interested in using a DAW in any other ways. I only cloned (copied) the bass track so I could pan it slightly to both the left and the right, it just wasn't sitting well on one side.
Rock On!
That bass sounds great.
Another piece of atmospheric greatness
great sounds brother - has a slightly oriental feel with this one. Very nicely done - love that bass sound :-)
