I wanted to do a recording test with my Yamaha Thr10x so really only the reason why i did this.
I used to play this song 25 years ago. ??? It`s been a while so a little rusty.
Aah, Satch. What a ballsy post, and you just killed it. My favorite parts were the clean chord at 1:05 (I was anticipating it) and the chirpy note at 1:16. I am in so in awe of the discipline to learn this and then own it. Just a killer post.
Now I wanna hear "Rubina" off Not of This Earth.

Thanks. So many changes and not your normal modes. He was one main influence on my playing and then i had to stop because i didn`t want the same style and get into bad habits but i`ve seen him a few times and he blows me away everytime.
His last couple tours with Keneally, Minneman, and Beller have allowed for more improv than he has had in a loonngg time. I look forward to seeing him again live down the road if he still has a strong backing band.
Listened again. This was just f'ing great.

Wonderful sound and great guitar playing, congrats!!!
Alfredo
Nice one - VERY NICE one.
Satriani was the only one of the widdly-merchants who suddenly appeared that I really liked. Wasn't too fond of his guitar sound originally, but it grew on me... But his playing is so expressive.
This is mighty fine playing from you.
And the sound is fab too - and that's just listening on my laptop speakers, cos my THR is upstairs in the broom-cupboard, switched on, plumbed in, waiting for me to record the lead part on my latest!
What a fine cover. Very well played.
Paul
Just insanely excellent playing my brother. That little amp sounds freckin awesome, feckin awesome!!
Rock On!
Well standing back in admiration, just killer loved it!!!!
Well this is just not right is it? So much talent in those fingers mr gnasty and your not on my tv or my radio.
Life sucks,so much talent out there,it's definitely a case of right place right time.
Your a star mate.
Fortunately Kenny commented this and I saw this on the latest posts. I have a glance on backer tracks jams very rarely...
Brilliant playing with really good tones on your guitar! I totally agree what Kenny says!
Top job Eric, takes me back a few years, I could never really play the fast bits, my fingers could never go fast enough. A friend of mine could do satch stuff very well like you, ended up playing for Blaze Bailey!
Great sound on the THR10X, I ordered a THR10C on the strenght of opinions on here, might turn up tomorrow, looking forward to it.
We will have to do another colab soon!
Sorry I must have forgotten to press "post" the first time I heard it in just pure awe.
You are one amazing musician Eric. This is just too good ...... Makes me wanna put my guitars on the shelf.
I'm a fan!!!
Gaun yersel Eric brawtastic.
Damn, that's some fine, smooth playing Gnasty - not familiar with the original piece, but I'm really digging your version and fretboard skills. And the amp sounds really sweet!
Brilliant Eric, outstanding in fact. I'm covered in goosebumps.
Too kind you guys! You got me all emotional on a Satriani backer? ;D
I think all the regular posters on here have talent like crazy and could have been stars and i think we all have things in common. We were born to play but life pushed us in other directions and we had families and/or careers to think of, but we can`t regret that at all. It is what it is.
I owe my parents for me playing guitar. How they put up with me day and night as a teen. You couldn`t pry a guitar from my hands. It certainly wasn`t their type of music i was playing and when i went out there was always a guitar somewhere for me to play at friends places too.
Then when i was married i hardly played for ten years. I severed a tendon in my wrist and played nothing for 2 years. After all that It`s lucky i made the decision to start recording again and bought a micro br and found this place and you great musicians from around the globe. It still blows my mind. And it made me a better musician. I think that goes for all of us. Hell i didn`t even sing before coming on here. And now i sing every day. :D
It`s all because of this site and the people. Thanks to Mike for keeping it going and to 64 for making this site look 90`s :D I mean really all of the festivals and banners and jukeboxes. So much time and effort. So amazing!
Love this place! Love you guys and gals!

and THAT is maybe even more amazing!!
Very well done sir! I've always wanted to do that one, but JS doesn't allow backing tracks on any of the sites, and I haven't gotten around to making one.
Crikey, that's scary playing. That does take me back, i really like those old satriani numbers. back in the day they were mind blowing, and still are. Great, great playing sir!!
Anything Satch works for me bro! and this sounds mighty flippin FINE !! Excellent cover man!
Must have missed this Eric......
Top class piece, Great cover....
Well done......Alex
Missed this one too, but glad it's come on my radar now. That's an amazing, humbling performance, fantastic playing.
Maybe if I buy just one more guitar I'll be able to play like that...
Just had another listen. Great playing.
Paul
Off the charts with this one. Scary good!
You rock!
