Title: Dirty Old Town - IanR covers Ewan MacColl
Post by: IanR on January 10, 2015, 01:04:48 AM
I have always loved this song.

I recorded it using the BR800 as the audio interface with Sonar Studio.  I have been experimenting with the Sonar audio effects and the mixing plug ins.

I hope you like it.

Excellent version, Ian! To be honest, I thought this was a Pogues original... ::) ::) ::) .Well performed!

This encourage me to use BR-80 as audio interface on acoustic recordings, (although you're using BR-800).

I do like it!

I'm not overly familiar with the original song, but I know I've heard at least a version or two before. I like what you emphasized in the mix (vocal & lead acoustic guitar), and I really like the the "train" feel to the rhythm.

Nice one, Ian!
