Here is the latest Jemima's Kite track.
This was put together in a really unusual way (for us)
ORH sent me a vocal that he sang over a drum track, I put a bass track to it and sent it back. ORH in the meantime had re-done it in the Jesus and Mary Chain stylee and I did a bit of bass over that, then I added guitars to the first and - well it became an epic.
Here it is finished, maybe, Greeny has added some ghostly slide, backing vox and the soundFX you may have heard on here earlier that he posted.
Umm.. You kind of forgot to put in the file.. Just letting you know
Ummm.... at work and not supposed to be doing any of this...
It's there now. You just beat me to it.
well, this is totally off-the-wall and different....
I like it!
It is a cool change-up to your guys 'regular' style.
Great post Flash...
Keep 'em coming man...

Who put the synth on this one?!
Nice production and a very cool groove. Is this the first song for album #2?

Kind of, lol
There was one before this that we're not quite sure about. It might get there with some tweaking though.
There's a another new one coming soon - and having just heard an early mix of it, I really like how it's going. Bit more of a 60's-psych feel on that one :)
Hey great track love the groove and the feel. The FX on the end is that the old government imformation film about Charlie not talking to strangers?
This is awesome guys!...You really have to appreciate such good sounding drums....and of course, everything else sounded excellent~~very cool 8)
everyone seems to be commenting on the production of the "sound" of this.ignore the drums. just listen to the "human" music.
its captivating.the human input is spot on !

Great, professional stuff again! You guys are too good!

the new one i want to post now. but i need ok from other guys as is still a work in progress but i think it's so good i am reconsidering my whole belief system. ok i know pastafarianism doesn't stand up to other belief systems but its a bloody good song
ok promise me one thing. all of us here get the fucking VIP passes right?
Yes, different from your usual style. But kind of eerie. I liked it a lot. Great job as always.
Love it! A bit different and a real grower - I've played it a few times and really got into it. Very cleverly done - as Tony said, this is a lot about the vocals, great job ORH. But the groove is great, Flash you did a very nice Jah Wobble on the bass and it creates an almost dub feel to it. Could we hear a full dub remix? The guitar is clever as well - Greeny, this was most unexpected. You did a great job in keeping it subtle and laid back. I wasn't expecting slide after I heard the bass and drums.
A definite 8) 8) 8) from me! Interested to hear the JAMC version.....
Cheers,
Nigel

I have not heard a song with as much 3D for years.... the layers sounded brilliant 8)
QuoteA definite Cool Cool Cool from me! Interested to hear the JAMC version.....
you wouldnt really, its me doing most of the guitar. my guitar playing in comparison to greeny's is like. cavemen painting or a 5 year olds crayon drawing compared to a monet or rembrandt.
quirky- cool track
Congrats on the 1000th post Guitarron ;D

My youngest son and I listen to this song almost everyday! Love it!

Oh Man, i had hoped that this challenge had just slipped away. Mind you, you have just given me an idea.....
The bass would have to be loud on a dub version, right....................?

can't believe this was two years ago and it started with just drums and vocals and grew into this, i am honoured to work with such talented musicians.
now nigel a dub version would be braw,
mike we need to do this live with a real drummer.
Still no dub version - I can hear Nigel somewhere in the background.....
Do you sill have the original James?
Very cool! I sense some pink floyd, Zappa and some fear of water in there.........maybe not. I love it! Thank You!
