Title: Greek Bouzouki - Mia fora monaha ftani
Post by: sing? on October 17, 2014, 03:36:19 AM
Hi to all the people at Songcrafters,

The literal interpretation of  the title of this song is Once is enough. The chorus goes - Once is enough for the glass to crack and our love to burn out and melt like a candle.

Giannis Poulopoulos sings this song and his version is much more professional than mine. However I think its fine to do what you can. The difficulty with the bouzouki is that it is very sensitive when placed in front of a microphone and your pick action has to be precise and I  expect it would be similar with the mandolin.

I used the built in mics on the boss BR80 to record this.

Never heard the original but his has the ring of a traditional song.

Lovely tone on that bouzouki...i was transported half way 'round the globe to a place i have only seen in pictures.

Thanks for posting...i needed a vacation!

Oh, man this is fantastic. Love how the harmonies pop in and out. Really well put together.

I have just smashed my plate, though, and wasn't quite done with my breakfast. Bugger.
