PeelSessions (banner image missing)

New Order: Atmosphere (BBC John Peel Session 24-11-1998)

i learnt this at the same time as i covered transmission by joy division. a joy division song that joy division never did for a peel session, so decided not to bother. however i was looking for a new order song from the peelfest to cover when i saw that they had covered (if you can call it a cover as they pretty much where joy division)atmosphere. so i went back to it before i forgot how it went.

Am trying to work out how you got the rhythmic sounds and plucking at the same time? Sounds dead cool though, and great vocals.
Splendid cover.

i am a shit guitarist and can't hold a plectrum. so i strum with my thumb. recently i have started slapping and strumming the strings rhythmically if that makes sense, whilst tapping the guitar with my free fingers.

You're not a shit guitarist if you can get it to do innovative and effective things like that, far from.

One of my fave JD songs, I like your doing of it.
