Delia's Gone
written by Karl Silbersdorf and Dick Toops
Excellent! You sound a lot like Johnny Cash.
I was just reading the write-up on this song at Wikipedia and apparently it's based on the true story of 14-year old Delia Green who was shot and killed by 15-year-old Mose Houston on Christmas Eve, 1900 in Savannah, Georgia.

I've always loved "Murder Ballads" & this is one of the best. Great job & even though it wasn't
submitted shouldn't this make the drinkfest?
Rock On!
This is a fabulously clean recording, and brilliantly performed.
I'm not familiar with this track, but it's clearly a Johnny Cash track. I hope you were wearing black :)

Whoa, another treat! Love the delivery, and the dark subject matter. I don't know the original, but it really sounds like a Johnny Cash. And I think we need a Johnny Cash fest!
Thank you everyone for the kind feedback. This site is great!
Another listen this morning.....Alex
Bump...great Cash tune
