I was lucky enough, (and OLD enough) to actually see him live at the Birmingham (UK) townhall in the late 50's

That's some rock-n-roll history, right there. And I wonder what other luminaries might have been there that night? Wish I was old enough to ever have seen him live!

Yeah, that was some catch, I'd love to have been there. Appearing for a limited time only...
That's a great cover, Baz, can't beat a bit of Buddy.
Hi guys and thanx so much for your feedback.....I've done covers of several Buddy songs which i'll post from time to time............It's still staggering to look back on an immense body of high class work when you remember just how young he was when he was killed. What other gems might we still be singing along to.?
i've been singing this to myself since you posted it, whilst i was singing it my 11 year old daughter looked at me ( you know the way daughters look at their fathers, like we have just sprouted horns or something) and said "no it isn't" i said what isn't. it's not so easy to fall in love she said. ;D ;D
:) Keep meaning to do a Buddy Holly myself one day, great!!
This is fab! I'm a big Buddy Holly fan, and this is a really slick cover. Sounds nice and fresh, and adds a bit of welly.
I to am a big Buddy Holly fan & really enjoyed this. Great vibe & feel with a real slick sound. So are you using the 600 or the 1600?? just curious
Rock On!
Hi ORH........trust My track isn't going to cause a family rift in your house..
BTW..been working it out .I was only 3 years older than your daughter is now when I saw him live. My elder brother took me and it was rock n roll and electric guitars from there on in.

Hi Puddleglum, Greeny & Hook and thanx for your posts.
Hook.. This was done on a BR600........ I got the 1600 (cheap off e-bay) to record my band but now use it for solo work too.
