The blues scene is still active in my area. I'm not as much of a fan of it anymore. You can only hear Roadhouse Blues and Mustang Sally so many times, knowwhatamean? So I saw this mindblowingly awesome guitarist that had the clothes (Derby hat, vest with houndstooth shirt), the gear (vintage strat and Fender Tweed) and soft, wonderful and buttery tone. Yes, I bailed when Mustang Sally reared her ugly head! Great performer though.
My mind started wandering and I thought of this dude I didn't like very much, Genghis Tweed to protect the innocent...
Mustang Sally is the most overplay'd over flogged tune of all time. I used to sing and play it... I hope I never have to again...
This is straight up freakin awesome!!! You know I love your style... how you come up with the off the wall stuff is straight up genious!!!
Tod, if you were back on your kit I defo would have brought you in on this - Hell, your e-drums are better than mine so I should have done it anyway!
Quote from: Kenneth on July 19, 2013, 12:57:51 PMI love your style Mark, this rocks!
I would have loved to have gotten together with you and jammed, and have alot of laughs, that would have been cool!
Rock on and on, you got class man.
Bro, you just can't go! There is so much more to do!
When I get back to my kit... i will have a lot of catching up to do. I'm sure this will be one of those i have to get to right away!!!
Wicked! 8)
This has got some strong bad-assity in it, launched - and I really dig that middle break. Didn't find the song too short, but all the same by the end I wanted it to just keep rocking on.
Oh, and I hear you about them blues...throw a rock around these parts and you'll hit a blooze bar band! :D

now dat's the man.....great stuff Mark
Yes Yes ! Heaviness and destructive!! Glad you`re back buddy.
Thats fat distortion that i love buddy!! Gonna download for further listens now. You rule!!
In all the gigging bands I played with, we put off playing Mustang Sally for at least 20 years. Finally in the last band I retired from we started playing it due to the amount of requests that we got for the song at every gig. It was a fun song the first twenty times we played it because it would pack the dance floor and the drunks would sing along.....but it got old very quickly......I haven't played it since, lol.
This is great launched! Your guitar tones, bass, and vocals rock my friend! Genghis Tweed is the king!

Downloaded immediately, loved this from the opening chord and from there on was not disappointed, just so good, f**k,in magic!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cool tune Mark - love the title.
It would appear that Genghis Tweed is actually GOD.

Love that tone. Great track.
I have a friend who did the circuit a few years ago. He said he became obsessed with his 'tone'. He also said he got so far with his tone, and so wanted to play one note live, a single note while shouting "listen to my tone", and then walk off stage. Yeah Babe, now that is rock and roll. Adam is crazy enough to do that as well!!!
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Of course it's brilliant!! Everything that you do is up there...love it!!
But, as I was scrolling down the page and saw this guy come into view, both me and the kid (who is sitting beside me) thought for a split second that somehow Tod had gotten a picture of me.... :D :D

wicked good and heavy...makes me think of Primus a little...cool and menacing.
I like i'a loh.

That's one helluva menacing riff!
I want to see a scene from a movie where this guy walks down some dingy stairs, into a cramped foyer, straightens his tie, and then emerges onto a busy city sidewalk. Then...
That's as far as I've imagined, but that riff is playing the whole time.
It's a fantastic riff. Love it and a real antidote to Roid Sally Roid!
Nice one!
Coool song dude!! I was blown away from the first note and what a "Mark tone" on guitar! This is good old Launched tune!! And yes, this is sooo SWEEEEEEET!! :D
Kari
Hi Mark, Ted used the word menacing and it sums it up perfectly. Great production. Love it.........Willie

Gritter used the word "menacing" first, to give credit where credit is due. These things are important.

Loving that filthy growling riffage Mark and the way that the vocal follows it throughout.
The harmonised vocals sound wicked, they add a real heavy sinister kind of feel to it.
Give me this over the blues any day.
God knows I wouldn't want to accuse you of plagerism Ted...........Willie
Splendid genghis tweed rocks
Da Tweeeeed!! Da Tweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!!!! Somebody punch me...
Man I'm glad you pulled this one up... totally needs some real drums on it. I may have to see what the CPT is up to also.
Genghis!! Genghis!!Genghist!!
