Well I tried to do this in June 2013 and it was dire (I still have the recording) so I've had another go. It's a backing track from Youtube and I'm singing along. The track is in the style of Amy Winehouse, but I'm not trying to sing like her - no-one can sing like her . . . RIP Amy xxx
Recording wise - there's a background noise from the backer which I, unsuccessfully, tried to remove in Audacity - vox recorded on the Rode.
Man I would dearly love to play the guitar like this.
I only have two questions
Did you forget to turn your Røde mic on ???
And are you the new Doctor Who companion ??? ;D
I assume you are off piste on the iPad Geir - as Soundcloud does'nt work and neither does a lot of YouTube links via the iPad. I'm nowhere near a PC at the moment but you can listen at www.soundcloud.com/Haylie-f if you want to x
Indeed I was ( and am) on the iPad!
Oh well, I got to it now, and enjoyed it very much. A very fun performance, loved that almost chuckling vibrato you used :)
Great cover Hilary, Deserves a Bump. well done Alex
I can't hear the vox, and the link doesn't work. Dang. But you're right, the guitar is pretty dang good. Must be the security on my work pc.
Hi guys - I've deleted the Soundcloud link and put it up directly (hope it's the right one). Here's what I'd sound like if I could play the guitar :'(
Thanks for the bump Alex x
That was beautiful. Nice lilting vocal style.

Thanks for taking the time out to listen again.
Sure. I looked up the word "lilting" to ensure I used it properly and this is what it said: the attractive quality of speech or music that rises and falls in a pleasing pattern. So I think I nailed it with that term. ;D

the voice tremomo is strange ::)...but after few moment of adaptation Ilike this version very original
It's funny, I was just thinking about redoing it without the exagggerated vibrato . . .
Yes , I had understood well ;) it s so funny
