Boss is announcing a new BR at Musikmesse in Frankfurt, April 10th to 13th.
If you like tiny gadgets and find the original Micro BR and BR-80 a bit too big, then you might like the new
nano BR BR-40.
Boss nano BR BR-40- 4-track playback, 32 V-Tracks
- Onboard multi-effects and amp modeling based on the Boss GT-100
- Built-in advanced drum machine with editor software
- Built-in microphone and tuner
- USB 2.0 for high-speed transfers
- Record to internal flash memory then save finished song to external USB flash drive (up to 32GB; not included)
- MP3 compatible
- Watch mode features stopwatch, alarm, and voice memo
- Includes adapter cables for attaching to guitars, external mics, headphones, USB flash drives and computer
- Pricing and availability to be determined
As I've said before, I'm not a fan of tiny gadgets. I prefer full-size recorders. But I have to admit that my inner nerd would like a nano BR if the price is right.

Does it come with a transporter? 'Cos I'll be coming to kick your butt... :D
henwrench
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Beam me up Scottie ;D ;D ;D ;D
I have also heard that Apple is working on a wristwatch version of the iPad. One for each wrist, what a recording powerhouse for those late-night, back alley kind of recording situations we all find ourselves in from time to time.

Brilliant! Nice one. :D

A dead giveaway. ;D
WoW wonder if it can do video chats too!

I used to have a Casio watch that looked like that - it didn't record, but played waltzing Matilda as an alarm :-) I certainly didn't record even just a mono track - haha ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Here's a new mic from RØDE which would be perfect for the nano BR.
RØDE i16 mic - 16-channel, 360º Surround Recording for iOS Devices

"it sounded better than what my actual ears could hear"
And for a great drum track, you could get the new Antares Auto-Beat™ with Real-Time Temporal Modulation Technology to keep your beats "in the pocket".
