Title: Here's an idea
Post by: Speed Demon on February 17, 2013, 03:55:50 AM
How about a DeadFest.

Music by musicians who are no longer with us, even though their music lives on.

It's been suggested before. I think it's too broad of a category, especially since many of our members are of the older generation and most of our music heroes are dead anyway. However, the admin team has discussed the possibility of doing a limited DeadFest where we choose only six deceased artists. There are many to choose from, so if you have some favourites, list them here and we'll consider them for our choices.

Jimi

Come to think of it, we could probably put a Dead(bluesrock) fest up with Jimi, SRV, Albert King and a few others in there.
Or a Dead(70'srock) with four or five artists... in other words, define it a bit more strict. Or maybe just have a poll of favorite dead artists and pick the top four or five?

And grateful dead? Or death from above?

Are we strict to do our songs multitracking, or can we play them LIVE?
