A 1973 Classic. I always loved this tune. I think i finally got my crappy bass to sound okay but gonna buy a better one in the future. i finger drummed the dr 880 for the drums and finally got to test out my new rhode mic for vocals.
Rocky Mountain Way
Written by Joe Walsh
Performed by Gnasty
That's some seriously tough as nails, balls to wall rock N rampage! Love that solo and your vocal is unfreakin believable, your on fire brother!
Rock On!
You Gnastified this one up good! Your vocals sound crisper (I should look into one of those Røde mics) and your guitars are scorching, man...well done!
What, no Talk Box? ;) Just kidding. This sounds amazing. Vocals are fantastic, as are the guitars, bass, and finger drumming. You captured the true spirit of this classic while making it your own at the same time. Well done.
One word; superb!!!
Kari

Bombastic guitar tone Gnasty! Great vocal work and the Rhode (NT1A?) really cuts through the mix with excellent definition. Love the sliding and the smokin' solos....get out the fire extinguishers, this song is on fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Farrell
Unbelievably good. I'm almost speechless!
Love everything about it, but the vocal is utter perfection.
had all joe welsh's early albums barnstorming etc, this is so close to the original i had to do a double take, absolutely fabulous.
Fantastic. I'm with Geir on this. (It's me to the left b.t.w. ;D)

What i said the other day Eric , you know
hmmm . . . pretty damn fine.
Geez man - I thought Triumph had a good version of this tune - but you just trumped it - big time.
Wicked job man. Vocals are just outstanding.
Downloaded and listened to this a few times today at work.
Top Shelf cover!
REALLY loved your vocal delivery...and the new mic seems to really cut thru nice.
Guitar tones are crushing...and your solos...wow...outta my league for sure.
Great job man...loved it!

Back for more....... I'm just out of shot to heirs right....just not worthy of being shown to be not worthy....fabulous cover....
That panned guitar intro got my attention right away and the playing and tones throughout are pretty astonishing. As if that wasn't enough you deliver a vocal of such ludicrious quality that it even manages to outshine the guitars for me.
Must say that I don't know the original, but was completely blown away by this Eric.
Just the absolute biz, fantastic!!!!!
Hey thanks for the overwhelming comments guys. I more than appreciate you all.
Yes Farrell it was the Nt1a Rhode and i love it a lot. It`s easier for me to sing into. I feel more comfortable now.
Hey 64 i never was a talkbox fan at all. I like some tunes with it but it`s kinda cheesy to me. I think it`s an excuse to inhale some fumes while on stage for the guys that use them..lol
Hey yeah i forgot about the Triumph version Vanncad. I love that version too. i kinda did it like their version here but not intended.
Man you've hit the ball so far out the stadium with this we are gonna need a space shuttle to get it back.
I'm speechless.,,,,,,,,,,,,,No I'm back lol. Great stuff ,where do I start, the guitars are phenomenal ,the recordings top notch, and the vocal is right on the mark.
After listening to this I feel like putting my guitar in its case and taking up the violin(unless you play that as well).
A great great piece of work.

oh my goodness!!! this is beyond great!! it came on the 70s player and rocked the house!! soooo impressed!!
Before I listened I sort of said to myself no way, boy was I wrong. This is an absolute stunner. I tried to put a moving Hell Yeah in but I'm at work on a dog of a computer but consider yourself Hell Yeahed in the biggest glossiest font there is.................Willie
This is from Willie Wendon, and me.

Tim
Wow, those vocals are spot on. Seriously. I (obviously) missed this way back when... At least, I think I did. Naw, it rocks too much to forget. I'm loving that slide work.
feels better to me than the original... yeah... it does!
not that the original was bad, after all it is Joe Walsh... but it kind of got played to absolute death... and that is very hard to do for me because I listen to songs a million times...
this has a better edge... great guitars and vocals...
