Long long ago in a time frame far away myself and deific dave used to get some beer in and sit in his room at his mum and dads and discuss our plans and music.
Being a jeff lynne,Ian hunter fan I would verse him on the music in that genre and he would say"yeh but listen to this and put on machine music by lou reed lol,but he did put me on to a few good tunes and this has great memories for me.
I came in after my late shift at work plugged in my guitar into the br800 and sang into the onboard mic,s.
Its one guitar one vocal,no drums bass etc as I wanted to capture what it meant to me, a sweet mellow tune that every now and again propells me back to that place .
magic.
Oh just lovely Kenny :)
Loved it, Kenny - very expressive.
wow wow *WOW*
that's beautiful !!!!!

it's a bit disturbing listening in headphones with the extreme panning, but it doesn't distract from the beauty of the performance

Lovely!
Like it simple, pure.

Kenny ...You know, those were different times! :D ...and good times they were too...Here was me thinking you were going to cover Black Angels Death Song too ;-) ..only kidding, of course I knew straight away you were going to do this one, very nice it is too, great version, I put my capo on the 7th fret and played along 8)
Nice. I really enjoyed this, although I don't know the original.
Like Geir, I listened with headphones and found the vocal panning a bit extreme. I like lead vocals to be balanced between channels in the mix. That can mean panning a single mono vocal to centre, or doubling the vocal track with one track panned full left and the other full right to give a stereo effect. But that's a minor quibble. Overall, it's an excellent recording and a brilliant performance.
yeh ,regarding the panning, I never pan a lead vocal ever,it was were the br was sitting,I decided I was going to sit and play the song and set the onboard mics on and sang.
I put the br on the arm of the seat in the living room and the mic nearest me picked up the vocal more.
It was never intended to be top notch production ,only to capture the moment, but I will be experementing more with the br rather than using the vs in the next few weeks ;D
I am glad to have found this beauty. Great cover, the guitar sounds so sweet.
I missed this as well! Great cover Kenny!
