Sorry I've been out of circulation for a bit. Life intervenes.... Wanted to get this posted before the summer ends.
I worked this arrangement out years ago, worked on it every summer for a decade, played it out a lot too. Then didn't play it for a decade... Decided to give it another roll this summer.
Usual recording set up. H2 mics and interface to Audacity. What's unusual about this is I'm playing the song in Gm in open G maj tuning. This melody lays out best that way [for me]. In the intro there's some slant slide to catch the melody in the upper register and a touch of faux steel. To get the IVm chord in the main part, I wind up fretting behind the slide. You can here me stumble w that a bit on one pass. Enjoy! DD
Love it brother, so much soul!
Rock On!
Wow you are the master DD! I love how you play. And to play minor in a major tuning is completely crazy.
I hear no stumbling....Great job man!!
I love it!!!
A classic blues played wonderfully
Play minor in a major open tuning is a terrible difficulty!!! and you succeed to it!
A lot of soul... Beautyful as the Lonnie Jonhson way to sing it.
