Here's a classic from Boston from way back when....we had that long flowing hair.....Genes Musicianship never stops surprising me.... another wonderful job....my part on the other hand?...well all you can do is try isn't it.....anyway it was great fun trying ...Thanks Gene...........here it is with the drum fix...
Hell yeah fellas... this music brings back some memories... Well done!!! LOVE IT!!!
Was listening to this over at the other place...
Fabulous.
Another fine collab on a classic.
Now you've conquered this Reg, I reckon you're ready to take on Kansas... Carry On Wayward Son - these two were a couple of my favourites from back then... (And I reckon SD would have a ball nailing his end of it :))
Oh, and some Meatloaf, as well :D
Oh mighty fine boys - R.E.S.P.E.C.T. xx
Dudes...I am pretty sure those drums are outta synch. I wanna hear this badly. fix it fix it!!! Hurry hurry!!
Yeah sounds like they come in a measure too early.
I'll check this out.
Gnasty, I checked the drum track and you are correct about the timing. It was just a bit late. Easily fixed.
Trevor will upload a corrected version. Watch for it.
With drum fix......
Cor, this is a bit good isn't it?! What a smashing job. I'm absolutely blown away that Gene can take something like this on and pull it off so brilliantly. Those harmonised solos are out of this world! Are you using an octaver pedal for that, or are you layering the guitars? And a very fine job on the vocal too. What a collab.
Hello, Tim,
Thank you for the kind assessment.
I could not have done this without Trevor's remarkable vocals. He is a true songbird.
I've played this song many times over the years. I got to see Boston live and thoroughly enjoyed them. One of the very few bands that never used any effects in the studio that they could not use live. They produced a great sound.
The solos were layered. Two tracks, synched during the editing process. I can also get the same effect by using a plugin called a Harmonizer, although I prefer to use this software when enhancing vocals.
Trevor records his vocals clean, no effects at all, and I sweeten them during the editing/mixing process. Doing it this way gives me total control of the effects.
Thank you for listening.
Gnasty, the drum track is fixed now. Download again.

Sounds amazing. Such a sweet tone. Impressive!!!!!!
WOW....Great job guys, it really does sound great. The music is spot on Gene, you get a gold star for performance, production and awesomeness! Reg you rocked this out. You truly are a man of a million voices, yet all Reg & all fabulous!
Rock On!
Heluva collab! Hats off to both of you. Brilliant mix and playing Gene. Love the way you layered Trevor's vocals. This sure works for me. DD
Nice musicianship Gene and Trevor your vocals here are so Regged good and it works well with this!
Yeah that`s the goods guys!
Thank you very much, gentlemen.
This song was great fun for me. I knew Trevor would make it stand out, and he certainly did that.
The plugins used on Trevor's vocal tracks are: stereo field, harmonizer, delay and reverb.
And four tracks of guitar.
I can only imagine what Trevor will stun me with next.
Frigin' hell - this is E P I C.
Fabulous!
B.
Thanks everyone...but the vocal would have remained a pigs ear without Genes skills on the mix and of course his musicianship .....till the next one thanks for listening.........

looking forward to it Reggie :)
Trevor, you are too modest.
I cannot make a poor vocalist sound good. Only death can fix those horrible sounds.
Great bump, glad I got a chance to listen - Well done fellas!! Rewind!
Well done indeed !!
This is rather excellent isn't it ? I mean WOW !!!
Great music Gene, and man you have a great voice Trevor !
Killer job... a difficult one to tackle but you pulled it off, got all the sounds and spirit of the record, but still gave it your own flavor - especially the vocals!
Thanks a lot Gents.......
