Considering the talent on this forum , & there is no doubt that it is here in abundance , it would be a bold statement for me to say that i think you are the best ive heard yet , my god i think you are amazing , i have loved Richard Thompson for ever , yet you have surpassed just a cover , you have made this song into something bigger , i am a happy man listening to you , thank you

Thanks Facemask, high praise indeed. I can't get enought of Richard Thompson.Blows my mind ever time I listen to him. Britain's greatest songwrighter. I think he must be in touch with a higher powe or something to be writing and playing at such a high standerd for forty odd years. If only I was a fraction as good.

Oh yes! great stuff chunk. RT4eva! he doesn't so much tune into a higher power as much as he IS the higher power :P

I have always loved RT since I first heard 'I feel so good', that must have been the 90's! mock tudor is my fav.

I had never heard this song, but you have captured the RT feel very well indeed, masterfully. You own your voice, I can hear the effortless power you are delivering and it sounds bliss. ! works amazingly well, congrats man, nice when all the hard work is captured. feels good.

May I ask if you recorded using a click? if so the flow of the acoustic is amazing, personally i seem to struggle to keep that feel once i have a click in my ears shot!

Hi, Thanks. No I didn't use a click. I find a click track quite offputting. I recorded the acoustic and vocal live on to a minidisc. Imported that to my pc and then added a bit of electrig guitar.
