bruno sent me this amazing track last night and he named it Night Train but I don't think he liked the name. I always like to have a starting block so I took off running this morning on my drives to & from my gig and came up with this. I pulled over into a grocery store parking lot and recorded the vocal with the ps02 into the 004 then mixed & mastered it on the br. This was fun, thanks bruno!

Thanks Tod - yeah that's me attempting to play a Djembe - along with the drum machine. I don't really like drum machines - so a live drum here and there helps soften the mechanical-ness of a drum machine :-)
Technical bit:
One brook guitar, two mikes - hard panned left and right.
Drum machine with a really slow (80 bpm) beat (actually hard to feel the beat with this) - but nice a sparce
Added Djembe with loads of verb
Added my ketchup bottle/brown rice shaker
and the Luke for the lead through the jazz COSM amp model
Sent to Hook, and he added his words and vox :-)

I've looked at some Djembe drums... but never purchased... I like the sound... think I'll have to reconsider.... Thanks bruno... again well done!!!
Wonderful collab guys. kind of a smooth jazz feel

OTD bruno bump. You are a pro my brother.
Rock on!
Damn - I'd almost forgotten this tune - really enjoyed this, I remember the ketchup bottle with rice in it as the shaker :-) Great bump brother.

I've missed this on the previous rounds..
Nice laid back jazzy feel here...excellent collab!
The backer on this reminds me a little of Tom Waits in his "Nighthawks at the Diner" phase... it''s got that looseness that I love. Then add Hook's superb vocals into the mix & you get a sure-fire winner. Brilliant work, chaps. Love the Knopfler-esque lead guitar too. Bravo!
