Drive through penalty for orh - jump start :D
This a strange one. I love the vocal, a brilliant vocal.
I was less sure of the backing, though... all it did was make me feel "vaguely uncomfortable"... and then I realised that might be the point! :D
Quote"vaguely uncomfortable"
...agreed.
Okay now everyone drop their Rolling Stones vote! You premature festival poster!
Them vocals are great! I`m not uncomfortable about the backing. It`s definitely a quicky though! ;)
i was originally trying to get a nick cave vibe (red right hand) sort of vibe on this one.
the keys and drums where recorded live to two tracks, 3 fingered chords on right hand and 1 fingered bass line with left hand using a mad orchestral patch, and hitting all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order.
when i hit record to do my nick cave stylee vox it came out scottish ??? ;D ???
i might try and do this one live, that will be scary
Holy smokes I loved this Jim! Genius arrangement! Your vox are superb, but I really loved the threatening vibe running through it. Btw I obviously need to check out the next fest
Wonderful listen!

I hear that John Barry feel, too...with a bit of the Neil Hannon as well - and a smidgen of Marc Bolan in some of those "nooos"!
Well done, Jim!
Tisk Tisk Jim couldn't you wait?? :o
The accent is strong in this cover and a definate 007 vibe, I like it.

This is great stuff Jim... I don't think anyone would expect this kind of a haunting vibe used as a backer for this tune. It works... I love it.
Brother, communicate this to your female parental unit! Darktastically rockmazing!
Rock On!
Sinister timpani action there Jim!
Really enjoyed this one!
I think what I like about this sort of thing is,,,,you get jim aka rottenhead wondering what he was thinking about when he done this?,,,,,,and everybody loves it,I remember the story about robbie frame hating this song and not going to put it on the album and the song turned out to be SOMEWHERE IN MY HEART BY AZTEC CAMERA and it was their biggest hit,I think personally jims song should be up for the next bond movie BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW TELL YER BLOWFELD MAW :)
8,000 posts!
Congratulations T. I remember the days when you and the old rotten guy were racing next and neck for the most posts. Then he started posting lots of hics, burps, and farts and left you in the dust. But you're still in the top 5!

wow! amazing - amazing - amazing! my english dont suport me in telling how clever this rendering ... i try and I try but i cant tell LOL
I liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiike it!
QuoteSinister timpani action there Jim!
;D ;D that's the strange thing about the orchestral patch on the juno, hit the keys hard and you get the timpani's coming in, hit the keys lightly and the strings swell to the fore and the further down the scales you go the more prominent the timpanis become and the higher up the more prominent the strings.
I'm loving the Scottish 007 vibe - I like to hear something a bit different :)
Och wee Jim its
Go han-mhaith shíl amach

I didn't read any comment before listening, and like many others, I got a strong James Bond soundtrack feel of this masterpiece!! Very strange - on a good way :) :) :)
